Edgewater Resort Country Log Cabins — Hotel in Breitung Township

The cabins are ok alot of dead bugs around the windows. Bathroom was tiny. Not as expected if you want to travel that far north only to be listen to highway noise then this place is for you. Cabins right off the highway so all you hear is traffic. The cabins do not have fire pits only one community one not acceptable for us. The kayak launch was not easy to get your kayak too. I called them because we want to be able to relax listen to nature and enjoy a good campfire, they told me they had firepits and even sold us wood. If that is why you go north then this place is not for you. There is no one on site, my friend complained about the situation and it was all text messages. We wanted to leave in Thursday night when we arrived but we would not be refunded so we stayed. I will have to say this is the worse place we have stayed up north. Certainly not the tranquil setting we desired. On Saturday morning they did offer us to leave and give us a refund. Where would we go?Everyone is booked on a Saturday. We stayed and made the most of our days away from the cabin. But do your research if you want peace be sure the place you stay is not on the highway. Very...

Peaceful. Beautiful! First time we have ever rented a cabin; & luckily picked Edgewater Resort. Everything we needed, & nothing we didn't. Cabin was exactly as pictured: comfortably rustic, but with all the conveniences. Really enjoyed snuggling up by the little gas heater (which easily warmed the entire cabin!); & the extra blanket felt so cozy one frosty night.

On Day 1 we saw a doe nursing her two fawns. Day 2 we saw baby robins being fed by Mom & getting their first "flying lessons." Day 3: family of geese with their babies, swimming past our window! By Day 4, even a pair of ducks came truckin' past the doorway. All this while having our morning coffee!

Perfect setting! Friendly owners. And it comes with chickens! Loved every day here! Where else could you spend a rainy afternoon playing "Iron Mountain-opoly?!" Convenient access to town for groceries. And... a perfect place to call "home" while checking out upper Michigan's gorgeous waterfalls! We are soooo looking forward to our next opportunity to stay here!! Thank you for an awesome...

It's been a year since our stay at one of the most difficult times in our life. We needed to escape and heal in God's Country... we caught our first Northern Pike ! The swing was perfect for me and my husband enjoyed off shore fishing. I was up there again , but didn't stay there because communication was hard when we stayed and I don't know why it all started when I requested towels, had I known towels was a hot point we would have never asked . . That's the only down was we would love to visit but poor communication breeds stress. Bring extra towels and enjoy this wonderful spot!!! Deer Eagles fish just Beautiful!!!!!! So Wonderful, owners are kind hearted grounds kept nice. I cleaned the whole cabin top to bottom first day so my cabin was wonderful for about 2 weeks if I remember correctly... I have 2 beagles and it was wonderful to have my fur babies with me during this getaway.... The River is Amazing... We made new friends from Wisconsin we still communicate with to this day.. We recommend highly and drive by often to just look...
