My husband and I attended an special event hosted by Tanamayi and Yogesh at Valley Bear Farms luxury glamping resort. The event was an evening of Indian dinner, dance, culture and art. It included day long access to all the resort amenities, hiking trails, stream fed pond, outdoor sauna, frisbee golf and pickle ball. We decided to book a cabin and stay all night. We were so glad we did!
Tanamayi prepared delicious authentic Indian cuisine using vegetables and herbs harvested from the resort's organic gardens. After dinner Yogesh gave an engaging presentation on Thangka Buddhist painting, meditation and philosophy. Tanamayi later preformed her traditional Indian Temple dances that moved me to tears! We ended the evening making smoores and communing around the camp fire. The entire experience was magical.
My husband and I stayed in one of the well (and very tastefully) appointed "mirror cabins". The queen bed was like sleeping on a cloud, made up with plush pillows and linens. We kept the windows open all night, taking in the breeze and sounds from creek and the frogs.
In the morning, I brewed the fresh, local "Pisgah Coffee Roasters" coffee provided in our cabin, then wandered the beautiful garden, sat under a pergola taking in the views at sunrise, and the peacefulness of it all. I hiked the trails and soaked my feet in the pond.
The resort is pet friendly. Our 9 year old golden doodle enjoyed exploring the trails, cooling off in the stream and playing zoomies with his new friend "Panda" from the neighboring cabin. There is something for everyone.
The care and attention to every detail made our stay both comfortable and memorable. Tanamayi and Yogesh are the most gracious hosts, along with the whole onsite staff, who were friendly and attentive.
I travel for a living and have stayed in many hotels all over the world. The accommodations, hospitality and the beautifully maintained property at Valley Bear Farms is top-notch... 5 stars!!!
The resort is fine balance of luxury in a pristine and natural setting... truly a paradise! I can not say enough.
Thank you Tanamayi, Yogesh and your whole team for your and warm hospitality and for making our stay a special and memorable one. We can't wait...
Read moreAMAZING hidden gem in the mountains. This place was phenomenal with fun activities and amenities on site and clean modern spaces. Everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful! There is a stocked store on site where Cory can assist you with everything you need. Bathrooms are communal but veryy nice and clean. The only thing id say room for improvement of this place was the parking situation. Having to park in a lot down a hill and walk up to cabin/yurt. Id love to see onsite parking available in the future. We stayed in the Yurt which was nicely secluded from other cabins. Sits creekside with a fire pit you can sit and relax in nature. The location is also nice with short drives to tons of trails with beautiful waterfalls and only 30 mins from downtown Brevard. The drive up the mountain on the way to the farm is a very winding road but fun and beautiful in summer months. My favorite trail was Courthouse falls trail. Start at the lower trailhead entrance and hike about 30-40 mins to a beautiful large hidden waterfall. This hike is not too difficult but has some rough terrain with elevation changes. I highly recommend staying here and will be...
Read moreWe stayed in Valley Bear Resort’s beautiful bungalow and were blown away by how spotless, cozy, and well-equipped it was. From the grill and hot tub out back to the thoughtful touches inside, everything was designed to make our stay seamless and relaxing.
The walkable general store was so convenient and we took full advantage of it. The organic garden was stunning and peaceful to explore, and the pond was a hit with the whole family: our kids swam, my husband fished, and I paddled around in the canoe soaking it all in.
We packed our days with fun—volleyball, pickleball, hiking the scenic trails, and even a round of disc golf. The sauna was a dream, and the s’mores night with the staff was such a warm, welcoming experience. Cory and the entire team were incredibly helpful and kind, making us feel right at home.
We also ventured out to Pisgah National Forest to see the waterfalls and brave the sliding rocks—an absolute must if you’re visiting!
Valley Bear Resort is the perfect mix of being immersed in nature while still enjoying the comforts of a well-designed retreat. We’ll definitely be back. I truly can’t say enough good things...
