We have been coming to Rivers Edge Campground and Resort for two summers. They have everything you need and want at this campground. Both for adults and kids. The playground is a great place for the kids to meet new friends! Every time my grandkids come with us, they meet new friends and don’t want to leave. The swimming pool, for me, is where it’s at! Going out there at 10:00 am as soon as it’s open and staying there until 1 is so nice and relaxing! That’s about when the families start showing up and not that that’s a bad thing! The laughter and excitement is contagious and you end up staying and getting in on the fun! The adults only swim is a great time as well! The swimming and fishing ponds can’t be beat. The activities put on every weekend is phenomenal! There’s bands (really good ones), Euchre, Bingo, Food trucks and special events going on consistently throughout the summer. The new RC track is a blast! There are some people that have mentioned on here that there are kids running around without parent supervision and that the adults just wanna go and party. Well I’m here to tell you that if there was only one thing that I had to review, this would be the topic. Yes, there are kids running around everywhere, yes there are adults letting loose BUT, isn’t that what it should be like? A place where you don’t have to worry so much, knowing that someone is always watching out for the kids! Even those that are there without kids are watching out for the kids safety! They are there to have fun and enjoy the summer! Making childhood memories that will last a lifetime! It’s a step back in time where parents can actually relax and unwind in this crazy, all too consuming, fast paced messed up society! Do we, as adults let loose? Yes, but our priorities are in check and the children, weather they are yours or not, are being watched and are safe. The owners top priority is that everyone here is safe and has a great time! They are the first responders to anything that happens at the campground. They are on top of it and are taking care of the issue, whatever that may be, immediately! They have a whole group of Committee members that work tirelessly to make your stay a successful one. We personally are at the end of our season here at Rivers Edge and are sad to see it end but so looking forward to next season! We are on that ever growing waiting list for a seasonal and until we get our phone call, we will continue coming back! Have a great and safe Winter everyone! See you...
Read moreThis was our first stay here. We stayed Sunday to Friday in late July 2025 and absolutely loved our stay. Pool, swimming pond with trampoline, a trampoline jumping pillow (not in the water), a fishing pond, arcade - which I don’t recommend spending your money there as we lost money and so did our cousins. We lost money on the pool game that wouldn’t spit the cue ball back out and a few of the arcade games. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and newer. The campground is pretty clean. Nothing too bad. Some pieces of garbage here and there but I picked up things myself as I was walking my dog around. Not one piece of dog poop was spotted so everyone seems to clean up after their pets. Garbage is picked up every morning if out at 10 am. We didn’t get it picked up one day and that may have been our fault as we had left it open because we were still adding things to it. They do have raccoons so make sure you don’t leave garbage and food out at night. They are butted up to some woods so this is natural. They have a laundry mat on site which is kinda pricey. The washer was $3 and the dryer $3.50. They weren’t really big either, not the jumbo commercial size ones. But they did work and the dryer is gas so worked great with just one use even for a quilt. Very friendly people for the most part. We’ve been to other campgrounds that the seasonal don’t even wave or speak to you. They will even block the road and finish their conversation before they move. We had no problems like this here. We didn’t have anyone to escort us in so was told to follow a map which we had no problems doing. The only thing I would suggest is one of the owners to come by after set up to check on your campers to see if they have any problems and introduce yourselves. We didn’t have problems it just would have been a nice personal touch IMO. This is such a nice place that there is a THREE YEAR waiting list to get into a seasonal spot!! We will definitely be back another time. Oh, forgot to mention there is a nice little path to follow into the woods along a little stream. Great photo opportunities. AND they have a very nice playground, an amphitheater with a band or DJ that plays in the weekends. Last thing I’ll mention is you have to pay $20 per week, per Devine for WiFi which threw me off as most campgrounds offer free WiFi. They do have free WiFi in the pavilion. So because of this and the price of laundry use I am giving them a 4 star. Otherwise, it would...
Read moreThis is a VERY large, pretty campground with beautiful, well-kept grounds. We stayed here on our trip out west early in the summer, and then returned in the Fall on our way back home. There is a very nice pool, pavilion, game room, jumping pillow and bathrooms. There is free WIFI only at the pavilion, otherwise you have to pay for it at your site.
We really liked this campground on our initial trip, but we felt a totally different vibe on our return trip in the Fall. It felt insular and fairly un-welcoming. This vibe was given off not by the people at the office, but by the campers who surrounded us. We are taking no position on politics here, and we would be making this comment regardless of whatever political signs / flags were displayed, whichever party the signs / flags supported. A large number of the campers around us were together and knew each other well. A number of them displayed tall, large Trump flags. These displays made the campground feel political. Many of the campers were acting like they were at a Trump rally. It made us feel that if we chose not to get into political debates/discussions or if we happened to disagree with anyone, there would be a problem.
This large group of campers dominated the common areas – the pavilion and game areas. On the weekend night we were there, they played loud, noisy games. The men in the group were particularly loud and boisterous while playing cornhole. They had teams and shouted insults and jokes to one another. Perhaps these campers are long term campers or regulars, and they feel quite comfortable here. But campgrounds should be a place where all are welcomed. Political signs and flags have no place in a campground. They create division and discord, when we all should just be enjoying the outdoors with our families and friends. We’ve traveled the country and stayed in many campgrounds. The political vibe here was quite evident and it was decidedly un-welcoming. This campground should step up and ban political signs and flags (as many campgrounds do) so that the camping experience feels...
