I just recently stayed at cobblestone creek because I was standing up in my sisters wedding. We had blocked out 10 rooms so at least the people standing up would at least have rooms, I personally booked three for myself for saturday night ( the wedding night ) and one for friday night. I was bringing my dog because after all it is a pet friendly hotel. When I call on thursday to make sure my rooms were all correct, I found out I only had one room for friday ( which is right ) and two rooms for saturday ( i booked three ). So after a half an hour on the phone we finally got everything all figured out and I thought I would be worry free for the weekend. When I checked in on Friday, I had no probelm, I made sure they knew I was checking in with a dog so that they could charge me extra. Then I asked to check my reservation I had booked for Saturday night again. Once again the rooms were wrong and now that the hotel was booked they only had two rooms left a king size bed ( which now has to sleep two adults and two young adults ) and a whirl pool suite. When I asked for a cot for the king size room the lady at the front desk told me to take the air mattress tonight so they didnt give it away to someone else. So I took it, Come to find it out it didnt even blow up. They also tried on saturday to tell me they needed to charge me more for my room since I had a dog. This hotel had horrible management, service. The only thing decent about the hotel is that it was a new building...
Read moreDon't stay here if you have any alternative at all. First, I was charged 50% more than the posted price because, according to the manager, the "hotel was sold out that week". Really - surge pricing in a dated, worn hotel in Brillion, WI, population about 3,200 people?? Plus I was charged twice for my room because, again according to the manager, I made my reservation online - which I didn't - and paid through the online reservation service and not the hotel so somehow I ended up having also to pay the hotel, so now I have to spend my time disputing the charges. And to call the "free breakfast" breakfast is an insult to actual breakfast. The "fitness center" is an old treadmill and an old stationery bike in the room where the coin operated washer & dryer are. Wait, there's more - they charge $25 a night as a dog fee even though my dog stayed quietly in the room and didn't bother anyone while kids ran up and down the halls screaming and definitely bothering anyone who was not hard of hearing. Rather than being helpful, I found the manager argumentative and not at all responsive. Clearly the guest does not come first at this hotel, other than to the front desk receptionist who was friendly. If you have to stay in Brillion, find an Airbnb and if you're just passing though, keep on going and do not stop here. It is not...
Read moreThe front desk people who run this place are seriously two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I came here on father's day because I had to work and what father doesn't miss the fact that he's missing his kid on this day because he has to work.... it was a joy to see the manager and his two kids out playing in ball in the yard. The location is perfect maybe 5 to 7 minutes from a really great pizza place which I will be posting about soon. The room is very clean almost spotless and walking into it as opposed to other hotels the room SMELLED clean and fresh. The beds are a perfect firmness for a guy who works laying block all day. There's a bar right inside which is something I dont see often in this area but man im telling you that speaks volumes for the people who run this place since they would rather you drink here and stumble back to your room safe than put others at risk driving back from a bar. Im excited to enjoy the breakfast here because they seem to take ALOT of pride in this establishment and means alot. I seriously wish every hotel I stay in throughout the year takes this much pride in there guests...
