Wilderness Lakefront Resort - Broken Bow Lake Cabins — Hotel in Broken Bow

We found this place after our air b&b got cancelled last minute, and I’m sure glad we did. The cabins are grounds are so accurately described it’s incredible. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and when I say clean, I mean clean. They have central heat and air which is so nice in Oklahoma. The grounds were nicely kept even after the crazy stormy weather the area has gotten. We came to the area from central Oklahoma to hike because there isn’t much of that in our area and it was nice that there was an onsite hiking trail. There’s another trail across the road that’s not great as it’s supposed to be maintained by the county and isn’t maintained at all so that was a little disappointing. Anyway. The hosts are AMAZING. Super friendly, there for whatever you need, just to chat, or to answer any questions. The pool was so clean and fresh. The only down side is when they say secluded they mean it and you likely won’t have cell service or have very minimal. They do have WiFi on the grounds but it’s slow. We enjoyed the few days of unplugging and found a spot in our cabin with decent signal to check in on our kids at home. We are already planning our trip back with our kids and our friends families. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else...

I absolutely love visiting Wilderness Lakefront Resort! This dog friendly resort in Broken Bow Ok is my favorite escape from Dallas. The owners always go above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and relaxing. It is beautiful and peaceful to just relax in the woods from time to time. I travel here at least three to four times a year to fish and watch the leaves change colors in the fall. I’ve been a guest for six years now and I’ve seen many improvements to the property over the years showing the owners are willing to continue to invest in the property. This year they added a new large play ground for kids and more lightning throughout the property. They have also installed new BBQ grills to each cabins and new fire pits. At least twice a year I host a group of about ten friends and we look forward to it all year. The owner let’s us use his custom smoker to smoke a brisket on at no extra charge and he even helps us keep an eye on it over sixteen hours. It’s this type of special treatment that keeps coming back to this business that we simply do not receive from other resorts in the area. We look forward to our next visit! We give this cabin our highest recommendation! We loved it. Angie met us at the office for check-in and was very nice and gave good recommendations. This is the perfect middle ground between luxury and rustic, and at a great price. We loved the location and would much rather stay here than in the now overpopulated Beaver’s Bend area nearby. The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The king bed was very comfortable and linens were nice. Plenty of hot water in shower. The kitchen had a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and coffeemaker. There weren’t any utensils in the kitchen for cooking but there was silverware and salt & pepper and we did fine with that and what we had packed. The cabin had a lovely porch with forest view and a picnic table, grill and fire pit. There is wi-fi but during our trip the signal was patchy - enough to send a text or email but not enough to stream a movie - which was perfect for a true getaway! We enjoyed hiking in the McCurtain County Wilderness area next door and in Beaver’s Bend area. Beautiful fall foliage! We look forward to returning here for...
