Canby Ferry RV Campground — Hotel in Brooksburg

Sad to say we cut our stay short by 3 days! First off we were not given a heads up that major rd to the park was down. We ended up lost in the ridges on very narrow windy roads. Our GPS stopped working. A nice lady led us through the ridge to park. We pulled up and trust me, it looks nothing like the pictures. The property has not been mowed and the weeds have over taken over that nice view of the river you see on the website! We couldn’t find the sewer hookup, so covered in weeds. Took another site, no one else was there! Found out the next day the only way to town was back through the ridge, hour long drive. Texted owner 3 times, no response! I ended up calling the chamber and village for help as how we could get out without going back through the ridge! I also wanted to know if there would be an easier way into Madison, nope the ridge! So needless to say I have nothing positive to say about this place ! No communication, uncared for property, no interest in assisting guest to make there stay pleasant! By the way, there is nothing around the park, no stores of any kind. We were planning on going to the Walmart when we got there but road closed! This is my first bad review in 5 years...

Grass needs to be mowed and just general Maintenance and trimming. We could access sewage on our site but sites 1 and 2 looks like dirt had been added and they were covered up. Our neighbors had to switch sites due to unable to locate sewer connection. Pictures on site are very different than what it looks like today. Every site should have a good view of the river but site 5 probably has the best. Site 6 is overgrown can’t see much of the river. Campground could be better with general...

Cement slab sites (pretty level and nice gravel around driveway)with water, sewer and electric. Set right near a boat launch and also a boat repair place. 5 min from Madison Indiana downtown.

Owner responded quickly and was helpful. No frills kind of place, but clean and well kept and right along the Ohio River. Dog friendly , no Wi-Fi or bath houses. We are self contained so didn't need any amenities besides full hook up.
