DO NOT RECOMMEND. OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET! For almost $300 for one night , would expect MUCH better. There were a block of rooms for a wedding. They got ripped off for sure. Our entrance light did not work and that is where the main mirror is to see your out fit in. Bathroom light too dim to do makeup . And was too dark to see the coffee pot or microwave even. No maintenance on a Saturday afternoon. The bathroom was DISGUSTING - we are not planning on using the shower when we leave . We were supposed to have gift bags - paid extra for it. Saw the box on the floor behind front desk , but NO ONE got them. Hope the couple got a refund ! The staff at front desk were nice , not very accommodating though. Continental breakfast was Okay. Still would have expected higher quality, especially more assortment of pastries for the price. Oh and the ice machine was broke , had to go to the upper floors to get any. Something from the ac/heater was hanging out with wires.

Bathroom in my room had what looked like pubic hair on the floor and on the wall decide to come out once I started to look I also noticed the dirt and lent buildup in the corners and underneath the sink spoke to the young lady at the front desk she said she would let the owners know nobody has said anything to me for the gentleman that replaced her later that evening I do not believe anything was said at all unacceptable for $130 a night I asked housekeeping that was on my floor they said that they would take care of it they did not they finished the room they were working on and left that floor all together if you want my recommendation and you may not I would go couple more miles up the road there is a quality inn for just under a hundred a night I had stayed there on one of my last trips up to this area the rooms were much better and cleaner

Visited here during a Business After Hours event. On the tour, I got to see both the regular room and suite room. Both rooms had a great view facing the mountain. The biggest difference between the suite and regular room was basically the pull out coach in the suite which would make it more for 2 adults + 2 kids. I especially liked the desk area for sitting at and there seemed to be plenty of outlets including usb and even an international charging station. The bathrooms were nice with a walk-in shower. Room also included a microwave and mini-fridge as well. The other amenities like the breakfast area, laundry, fitness center and small pool area were all very nice. As this location just opened up a month ago, everything was obviously new and in great shape..

If I could leave 0stars I would.

We were looking to rent a handicap accessible/wheelchair accessible room for a trip to visit family. We called to set up a reservation for the weekend of September 22nd, on the 28th of July. We were informed that the card was to hold the reservation and we would be paying when we had our stay. Apparently they have a policy (that was never mentioned) that during college football seasons cancelations needed to be made more than a month prior to the reserved date. We explained that there was no disclosure of that policy and that we wanted to cancel the room and did not authorize a charge, Miranda (employee we spoke to) apologized and said they would remedy the situation. This call took place on September 2nd, on the 4th they charged us anyway. When we called today (9/11/24), we were informed that refunds are not usually given on cancelations, but they agreed to return roughly 2/3 of the money they charged us.

These predatory business practices are unacceptable. If this is indeed policy, they should either review it or make the policy understood to prospective customers. If not, they need to review their staff and address these issues.

Update

After several days, we received the refund, however the amount was not what was quoted. When my girlfriend called back this morning to speak with the manager, the manager agreed to a full refund, but that we would be added to their do-not-rent list. While "punishing" us for their predatory practices, or under trained staff, I'm not sure, but being banned from this establishment is fine by us. As for a place to rest, I would recommend somewhere nicer. Like under a busy...

Various members of our family met in the area to celebrate my Mom's 90th birthday. My sister had selected this hotel for all of us traveling out of town to stay here.||The positives are this hotel is fairly new, safe, the rooms are clean, and it is in a good location for many area sites by car. And, let me also note the people who worked there were very nice.||The negatives are this hotel is right in the middle of a neighborhood. There is nothing around it that you can walk to. The free breakfast is marginal at best. The "warm" foods were premade and just warmed up, not made fresh. And, I get so annoyed when cold cereal is in one of those containers where you twist the knob at the bottom, and your cereal comes out all smashed up in crumbs.||There was nothing in the room like a pad and pencil, an alarm clock, or even complimentary water. They expect you to use the TV for everything such as setting an alarm...I am not a tech guru, and it would be nice if they had a simple guide on how to use the television! We called the front desk and the kind lady admitted she had no idea on how the TV worked.||Finally, their advertised rate of $169 per night turns into $227 by the time taxes and fees are added.||So, for some this might be perfect for you, but I think it is overpriced for what you get. But I again want to note friendly...

Stay Report - 3/18 to 3/19||Location: The hotel is a little strangely located.  It's off PA 655 just north of its intersection with US 322 (US 322 being the big road in this area) but it's in a development with a Sheetz, two banks and some low income housing developments.  The State College Area tag is a little silly by the way: you're at least a half hour from State College itself.  ||Hotel: A lovely new HIX property, the kind I always like staying at.  They had a big parking lot out front, small outdoor pool, large lobby with a two computer business center and a small sundry shop.  The hotel is four floors and they have two elevators which is adequate. ||Check In: A very friendly agent checked my brother and me in and got it done in very quick succession which I appreciated and he thanked us both for our IHG Status. ||Room: Lovely.  I do really enjoy staying in these new HIX rooms.  I had  the king bed, full pull out couch, desk area and a nice sized and well lit bathroom.  Wifi worked well and there were no noise issues.  My only complaint was there was no bar soap, just liquid soap in both the shower and next to the sink.||Breakfast: It ran from 6:30 to 9:30 but sadly I left too early.||I don't think I'll be back in this area again but if I had to be I'd love to stay here again.  It was a perfect stay for...
