I called the morning of my stay and asked for a reservation. I was quoted a price of $27.00 for camping and $5.00 for electricity by the female owner. When I asked if the site was 30 amp she said yes. She told me she had lots of vacancies and did not require a reservation, ALLSTAYS app reported sites with 30 amp electric service. I told her we were on our way. When we arrived a young girl gave us a map, told us which sites were not available and let us park. She told us the site would be $37.00 a night because we had a dog as well. ($5.00 more per day). When I asked why such a high dog fee, the girl said the owner hated dogs becaus she had been bitten by a campers dog previously. ||||We choose our site, having to use an electrical extension cord and found only 20 amp service. We parked in a nice wooded site that was fairly level. ||||When I went to pay, the bill was $79.92 with tax. When I asked to speak to the manager the girl called her over a radio. The female owner refused to come speak with me and spoke with me over the radio. She said their website addressed the 20 amp electrical issue and she didn't have to inform someone about additional fees or taxes. She was rude and said we could leave without a refund. ||||Although this is a beautiful park, I would not return until it is under...

Beautiful piece of property, it the rating was on yhe property it would get 5 stars. Bathrooms are pretty bad, very dated, dark, dirty and need lots of repairs. Shower house is similar, cobwebs abound, can't adjust water temp and it is not very warm. Laundry room was the same, floor so filthy was afraid to let anyyhing accidentally fall and hit the floor.

Customer service was a 2 as well, friendly but took forever. There was a new young man checking us in and he was not trained on the computer system to check us in. The other guy, a little older who was the "boss" kept leaving, the result was about 30 minutes to check in.

We tried to call and make a reservation, the phone system leads you through a rabbit trail of choices only to have no one answer the phone. While checking in the "boss" took a phone call and had to interrupt my check in because they only had one computer. He said, "sorry I need to take this the lady has been leaving messages for a week and I have never called her back." Our information was lost in the mean time and we had...

Overall a great place to camp but a very shaky start. I was an advanced "scout" for a large group, so I drove up ahead of everyone else to get some tents set up before the rain one Friday night. When I arrived there was no one there to check us in; there was no campsite assignment on the door; and the phone number just rang until the voicemail took over. We had no prior site assignment either. So now we had no choice but to pick a site at random and hope for the best. Luckily when we finally checked in the next morning, the employee was fine with where we were set up.

Other then that it was a beautiful campground right on the coast of ME. Well maintained and pristine, I would recommend this campground. Although be warned! The electrical sites are poorly done and you will need a 100 foot heavy duty extension cord as all the outlets are at the bathroom. There is no...

This campground was a real disappointment. Our "waterfront" site was really just a tidal Marsh (and very stinky). The site was not mowed and I found a lot of trash and cigarette butts all over. The picnic table was in terrible condition, and the cooking grate was on the wrong side of the fire, so was unusable. The beach area was also full of trash. The playground looks like something out of a WW2 movie - very unsafe. The bathhouse was very dirty as well, and the trash wasn't emptied the entire time we were there. Worst of all, when we visited the "rec hall", it was a shambles and one table was covered with maggots. Absolutely disgusting. The only redeeming thing was the Highland Games, which were very well run and a lot of fun.

Nice campground with open fields, a playground, small beach, picnic tables, and more. There is even a little 9 hole disc golf course. They have a map for the course if you ask,but half of the numbers are mixed up, and the course is a bit dilapidated. Still fun for a relaxed game of frolf. Low price for daily admission, and much to do. They often have a volleyball bet up in the grass above the beach. There is good parking and beach access. Beach is sandy, but located on a muddy tidal zone, so swimming can get a little messy. You have to time the tides right if you want to swim, otherwise it's all mud. Sometimes you can spot a wild horseshoe crab! Nice family friendly spot for a chill day.

Small fee during the summer time to get in but this is my absolute favorite beach, been coming here for years. It's always so clean and people are respectful and friendly here. Great place to swim when the tide is in, you'll most likely find a few to hundreds of horseshoe crabs (please don't pick them up by the tail). A place you can go camping and rent a kayak to enjoy your time on the water. Have a fun picnic, plenty of space to run around and have a good time, a fun playground for your kids. It's a great place to enjoy a peaceful day at the beach. Just use caution on the steps to the beach.
