As a family of four that full time RVs, this, hands down has been the best resort (or campground) we have ever stayed at, for both the facility and staff. The sites are incredibly spacious and very well maintained. From the moment you check in at The Camp Store, you can't help but feel this resort is next level. After checking in you are escorted to your site, and I have to say, there isn't a bad spot on their grounds. We met the general manager of the campground, Craig the next morning in passing and he welcomed us and made sure our arrival and first night went smooth. Throughout the course of our stay you can see Craigs commitment to the resort, and making sure your stay there is nothing less then wonderful. Nancy, who is the activities director had so many fun things planned and our boys had a blast any time there was something going on . Shes also a wonderful source of information for things to do and see around the area. Not all of the amenities are currently open, because they are still under construction, but there is still PLENTY to do. There is outdoor shuffleboard, pickleball and basketball court. The pool is spotless, the Ultimutt Hangout boasts of a pool table, shuffleboard, corn hole, yard Jenga, washer toss, pingpong, various board games, and two very large TVs with streaming services avaliable. They also offer a beautiful outdoor grill for public use at the hangout. Dont miss out some good laughs on the Wibits! Its not just for kids and will certainly add for great memories. Also available to rent are golfcarts, which make comuting around the resort efortless. Their laundry facility is priced very reasonable, and everything is, and I can't stress this enough, immaculate. In addition to all of this, the campground has and electronic gate with a code that just adds to the feeling of safety. What makes this campground as fantastic as it is, is the staff. They are too numerous to name personally, but they all make sure you know what true southern hospitality is. They truly do make you feel like family, and coming here... feels like coming home. The campground also has excellent location to groceries ( Walmart is only 5 min away), Texas A&M, The Bush Library and countless of restaurants and...
Read moreOur issues came with the lady the checked us in. About three weeks before our reservation we got a phone call asks if they could move us BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE WANTED THAT CABIN!! (Should have never been a call) I politely declined, stating we picked that cabin cause we had three other family members in different cabins in that cabin cluster. She politely said OK that’s what we figured. When we arrived… we were moved anyway! Not only once but TWICE!! The cabin they first moved us to after being asked not to, AC went out so we were moved yet again. Even further away from our entire family. When we asked about it she looked down at her computer for about 2 seconds and said oh the AC is out. I manage a campground myself using the same program ( so there was no way for her to know that by the quick glance, so she had to have known beforehand) Secondly we paid for the early check in ($25! so it would be ready at 1pm) We checked in at around 1:25 went to our cabin…. Had to call to get soap, shampoo, conditioner and hand soap(there was nothing in it) So not worth the paying the extra amount for it not to even be ready. Then we called to get the TV on. We had to call yet again to get the (broken) futon bed down. When we asked for more towels on the 2nd day we were given 5 bath mats, when we asked to exchange them, the lady (same one that checked us in) was visibly annoyed. We thought for a graduation weekend it would have been a lot busier then it was but this was on the higher end for what it was. Even more so that the only way to have a golf cart is to pay a arm and a...
Read moreWe just brought our 5 children and friends along with their 4 kids to stay the weekend . This location is perfect. The Rv place was very clean and nice BUTT the service was absolutely horrible we have childrens ranging from 1-14 the kiddos were told they cannot play pool , ping pong , cornhole , basketball nothing with out an adult physically playing with them . The staff told our kids that it’s clear y’all’s parents do not want to spend time with y’all and it sucks you have smaller siblings who need a nap! UNACCEPTABLE! The breaking point to me was when the staff ruined the boys pool game and said looks like yalls game is over and I win as he took the balls from them and pool sticks We have a party coming in!! (Rude we paid to be here all weekend ) My husband was by the pool while the kids were trying to play indoors to cool off they yet again got ran off bc he was not sitting inside right besides them ! I definitely would not waste your time coming to this place of you have kids under the age of 16 !Our kids told us they never want to come back and it’s sad because this could be a great thing for the area . Yogi bear is wonderful and respects your kids , lets them play ect if this is a sister to them “like staff told us “ please learn a thing or too from them ! Also The auto traffic in the Rv park definitely doesn’t have any respect for adults or children outside speeding past all...
