Come as a guest, leave as family. That's how Jason makes you feel. This is one of those best shared places you want to keep to yourself but share because it reminds you so much of why you love Bryson City. Upon arrival, you are greeted at the entrance to the office by the owner Jason. He gets you settled in, asks if you need anything for your stay and treats you like more than a guest while you're there. We stayed in Cabin 2, just enough space for our weekend stay for a family of 3 and our pup. Our second night, we had dinner family style at the picnic tables with Jason, Tommy and one of the other campers. Jason was very sympathetic to our daughter who has high functioning Autism, ADHD and Anxiety. She is begging to come back. Our last day we fished from the pond and caught one of my favorite fish, rainbow trout. Jason cleaned them and cut them for us. Jason has a vision for what he wants Kirkland Creek Campground and Cabins to be and he is well on his way to accomplishing that. If you're looking for a family friendly, quiet spot just off the road to enjoy time in one of the most beautiful places in the Great Smoky Mountains, Kirklands is your spot. We will definitely be back.

Kirkland Creek Campground is AMAZING! Peaceful atmosphere, calm surroundings with an owner who is awesome! I found this place on google and wanted to give it a try....SO extremely glad that I did. It is more like hanging out with family then anything else. Jason the owner is very personable and keeps the grounds so clean. Check in process is very simple and Jason is open and upfront about everything. No possibility of miscommunication. Mr. Tommy is the same way with helping out and being such a kind hearted person. They drive you directly to your site once you are all checked and will deliver your firewood directly to your site as well. The bath house is super clean with fabulous hot showers, the wash room is extremely clean and easy to access the sites have power and water if you need it and sewer hookup for campers too. It was the best find that I could have found for my family to enjoy some time away from home. Cannot wait to go back to see Jason, Mr. Tommy, cheese the duck and all the other critters and people who come to visit!

Spontaneously happened upon this campground and was very blessed. If you’re looking for a high quality camping experience, look no further. Nestled on its own mountain, you’re going to feel like you’re in heaven. They have electric sites for tents and primitive sites - as well as places for RV’s. The way the campground is designed is very intentional and smart. The drinking water comes from a well and is sooo good! Clean, hot showers ….and an amazing creek that soothes you to sleep. Firewood, ice and local eggs are available as well. The owners are both very kind, and will make sure you are well taken care of. Thank you for amazing stay! Definitely will be returning here again next time I’m near/in Bryson City. 12/10 would recommmend.

We had a beyond incredible stay here! Jason, the owner, was so kind, generous, helpful, and hospitable. He even helped my partner catch and clean a fish from their abundant trout pond for our campfire dinner. We chose a primitive tent site located between the creek and the trout pond, the water made for peaceful evenings and a calm morning where I did yoga right beside our tent and the creek. In addition to the primitive sites there are a variety of other options that would please anyone, clean and comfortable cabins and RV and tent sites with electric and water. The bath houses were so clean and were cleaned regularly with multiple private toilets, showers, and changing spaces and a highly functional and clean laundry room. Jason even gave guests fresh eggs from his chickens and provided necessities we had forgotten. Far enough in the mountains you are secluded in serenity, close enough to town you can pop down for a meal, shopping, outdoor activities. Jason has great recommendations! We will always stay at Kirkland when we are in the area and can’t wait to come back with the entire family to enjoy the pool and family area with games and seating. This is hands down the best campsite I have ever stayed at. The attention to detail they have given the place does not go unnoticed. We are so grateful for the amazing experience Jason, Christian, and the staff, and the entire serene energy the...

I cannot describe how great this campground is! From the moment you arrive the hospitality begins. Jason and his staff are friendly, kind and down to earth people. Me and my brother were in Bryson City for a weekend fishing trip on the 4th of july. We had a primitive campsite nestled in between the creek and trout pond and it was so peaceful with the creek rushing and waterfalls of the pond. The waterfalls drown out any other campsites around! You would think a 4th of july weekend would be loud with families and kids and celebrating..not at this campground. You will have a peaceful sleep listening to the ambiance of nature and rushing water. The bathrooms are spotless!! When i say spotless..i mean spotless. Toliets are clean and always stocked, showers smell like they were cleaned just before you use them..every time! You expect a campground bathroom to be a toss up of simi usable or stay far..far away. Kirklands are definitely the gold standard of campground bathrooms. The grounds are clean as well and plenty of space in or around to explore and family friendly and safe. Getting there is easy to get to in any vehicle and very short drive to town to enjoy food shopping and outdoor activities. You can also catch Trout on site and have if cooked for you at a small fee. Super impressed with the owners and staff here. Easy, convenient, peaceful and safe. Will definitely be returning for...

Where do I begin.... From the moment we arrived I knew we were gonna like this place. Jason met us at the entrance to help us get into the campground because it's kinda tight with a big rv but he will get you in there. He then took us to our site and helped us set up and all. Then we needed fire wood and he went to get that for us and delivered. We were on site 18 and loved it because it was plenty of room to do what ever. The bathhouse and laundry room were very clean . It was so peaceful there and just listeningto the creek was very relaxing. He even had a pond where you could catch fish and pay by the pound and would clean for you . Jason and Alison care about their customers and will do whatever to help you out and to make sure you are happy. Jason told us so many things to do and go see because we weren't sure what was around. It kept us busy for sure. The campground is only 10 minutes from Bryson City which is a cute little town to go walk around shop, eat or just relax with a drink. I didn't wanna leave after only being there a month. We will definitely be back for sure and highly recommend if you are ever in the area and need a place to camp look them up because they will take care of you for sure. Jason and Alison we just wanna say you guys are awesome and can see you love what you do. Can't wait to come back and...
