I totally forgot to post these photos of our little outing the other day, so we saw there was an event on Facebook out at some ranch near Buffalo and we never do stuff like this and we just wanted to try something special like this and it was a Christmas buffet, so we booked lunch out there and the dinner was actually in the evening so we missed it and I was sad and we accidentally got the time wrong, but the Ta ranch manager and the server, well basically all of them apologized, which they didn’t have to cause I got the time wrong but that was so nice of them to even care for us so they brought us out some prime rib that would be served at the Christmas buffet and gave us a discount, all while just talking, they also found out me and my fiancé were going to get married soon, my mom let the waitress know, just because she wanted to explain our reason for eating out fancy lol, so the waitress asked us to talk to the manager to see if we could possibly have our reception out there at TA ranch, thanks to our waitress who was so accommodating in so many ways and all around so beautiful and elegant, she had us talk to the manager there and it went great she told us how much it was, to do it and it was an amazing night, to celebrate it they brought out some free lemon pie with berries and it tasted so amazing, they were congratulating us and they were all so kind about all of it. They didn’t even charge us for a couple things because of the misunderstanding of the Christmas buffet and just because they were being so nice about our engagement. We didn’t expect any of this to happen and honestly it was one of the best memories i have had in a long time, so thank you TA ranch for being so kind an amazing! I’m glad our family time was special especially because of the crew at TA ranch. My brothers loved their cooking and they were so kind to my brothers and my brothers were so thankful for the food and the staff there as well lol it was a very good night 🥺🤍 the fried chicken and waffles was the best I have ever tasted, like my little brothers put it, it was...
Read moreWe went to eat at TA Ranch for our first time after seeing them advertise on Facebook for holiday lights and “Christmas Buffet”. Their flyer obviously mentions holiday lights and yes they did have Christmas lights up but just the basics. It was some icicles outside of the dining area and a couple strand lights along the fence tops. I guess I was personally expecting a little more due to their advertising. The inside of the dining area is very cute and probably the best part of the whole experience. It actually looked similar to something you’d see in a hallmark movie! Which I love. After being seated, we were told they were no longer doing a buffet but instead they’d bring us “endless plates” from the kitchen. Okay, great! First round arrived quickly…flavors were good but portions were fairly small and the food was cold. Not only did we only receive 4-5 bite size pieces of prime rib, it was also 50% fat. We informed our server of the cold food, who was very apologetic and assured us that our next plate would be “piping hot”. Our 2nd round of plates took awhile to come out…almost 30 minutes. By this time we were honestly ready to just leave. The 2nd round of prime rib was definitely better but the food was honestly still lukewarm, at best. Overall, we were all highly disappointed and bummed with our experience. Not only did we drive an hour to get here (no big deal, it’s Wyoming) but our bill was $174 (plus tip, so over $200 total) for 2 adults and 3 children. They weren’t busy when we arrived, maybe 35% of the tables were filled (approximately 25 people including our party of 5). The dinner was offered from 5-9 and we arrived around 5:30. Throughout our visit, I’d guess it reached 50-60% capacity (maybe 35-40 people MAX) and about 3-4 servers so it didn’t seem as though they could’ve been overwhelmed.
I’m all for supporting small/local businesses and rarely ever leave a negative review anywhere. We had made a reservation in advance and we were so excited to attend. I REALLY wanted to love this place but unfortunately we...
