The Dillweed Bed and Breakfast is located in Dilltown, Pa right off of Route 22 so it is very convenient to main access roads to either Pittsburgh, Johnstown, Ebensburg, Altoona areas. We have never stayed at this B&B but we have visited for their events several times over the years. They are located right on the Ghost Town Walking and Biking Trail with outside bathroom facilities for trail visitors. There is a gift shop onsite that has drinks and snacks as well as crafts, tee/sweat shirts, dips, jellies, candles, etc. There are 2 floors to the gift shop. The B & B portion of the house is very neat and clean. The rooms are decorated in a cute country manner. I think there are either 3 or 4 bedrooms with a shared bath. Some of the rooms (if not all) have their own sink. There is a commons area with fireplace, a dining room and kitchen all decorated in a Victorian Era decor. The owners seem very friendly. They have several special events throughout the year. This is the first time I visited for their Christmas Open House. I would stop down again. I found some cute tree ornaments and some small gifts for friends. I purchased several kinds of dips. They had the dips, breads, cookies and candies out to try and purchase. Overall I was very satisfied...
Read moreMy wife and I and another couple decided to cycle the Ghostown trail and stay at the Dillweed B&B and could not have been more pleased. From initial contact to departure the owners Cory and Kyra, and wonderful staff person (whom I unfortunately did not get her name) could not have been more pleasant and helpful.||The rooms were very clean, spacious, and well provisioned. As we visited during the Covid pandemic, the traditional breakfast was unavailable, but they did provide muffins and fruit in the room refrigerator as well as soft drinks, juice and water. The common rooms were also very clean and beautifully decorated with antiques.||In addition to being a first class B&B, they also have a gift and snack/sandwich shop on site. ||The Dillweed is located directly adjacent to the Ghostown trail and across the street from the Dilltown Station parking and trail head. After the ride, it was great to unwind on their spacious front porch. Rates are very reasonable and you will not be...
Read moreI stayed here three nights to ride the Ghost Town trail. The Inn and rooms are beautiful, with antiques, beautiful art, old and new books, a beautiful backyard, and a perfect porch for rocking and reading. It is right smack on the trail so you don't even have to drive to go two ways on the trail and don't have far to drive to do the trail extension. Breakfast items are provided so you can get going when you want. The owner, Corey, was very nice and I enjoyed the attached shop. Even if you aren't a bike rider it would be a nice place to stay as there are some other things to do in the area such as visit...
