The Juniper Ranch & Retreat — Hotel in Bulverde

Wow, not at all what I expected when I found out we were camping. I mean, this really is GLAMPING! The site was furnished with everything we needed and more for an excellent price. There were plush rugs and comfy bedding inside and outside there was a grill, firepit, hammock and a hot tub for the chillier nights. All of these amenities were for our personal use so no need to share with the neighbors, each site had their own!

I also loved the thoughtful touches you wouldn't expect when "roughing it" like a clothes rack outside the tent to hang your towels while using the hot tub. Inside there was a fridge, coffee maker, dishes, a table with chairs and air conditioner/heater depending on the weather. The outdoor bathrooms were SUPER cute and a short walk from our tent. Speaking of a short walk, the parking was very close and the hosts even had a wheeled cart there for us to transport our things to the campsite. They really have thought of everything!

This would be an excellent stay for a special getaway, especially because the host mentioned that they offer personalized celebration packages to make your time even more memorable. We had a fantastic stay Juniper this past weekend! We were in the Monteverde site with its own parking spot out front. The property is not large but the sites are very nicely spaced out, spacious, and secluded from each other. The bathroom area seemed centrally located, just a short walk from our site. They were always clean and we liked the overhead rain style showers. The tent is big enough for two people to easily move around with the bed, mini fridge, and table inside. Being in Texas, it was great that the tent has AC! We were pleased with the comfort level of the mattress and bedding. Relaxing and talking in the hot tub was at the top of our list and we took full advantage! Swaying in the hammock as the sun set was peaceful and having a propane fire pit was a nice touch. We stayed in the Monteverde site and cannot say enough great things about our experience! First of all, it is located far enough out of the way to feel private and secluded but also close enough to town just in case anything is needed. The tent and set up was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We napped in the hammock and soaked in the hot tub under the twinkle lights. We enjoyed a nice hot shower with all the amenities referred to in the listing. We hope to make this a tradition and stay an extra night next time!
