We were shocked to find the front window boarded up when we arrived for our 2 night stay in Elm Bluff. The cabin desperately needed a deep cleaning- think cobwebs, hairs, grim, dead bugs and mystery crusties in corners, beside the bed, underneath furniture etc. Mold inside the coffee maker and literally caked on the handicap fold-down shower chair. Tinfoil covering the small window in the bedroom. What appeared to be pee stains on the wall by the toilet. Bedroom mattress had multiple stains. The slider bathroom door didn’t slide correctly shut and got stuck and jammed the whole time we were there. The refrigerator broke our first day, so we inconveniently had to buy ice and pack coolers for the remainder of our stay to keep our food from spoiling. The futon collapsed in the middle of the night while sleeping in it (and no, the person wasn’t morbidly obese, but a very average size). The fire extinguisher and smoke detector were missing. A random speed limit sign discarded in the yard. All of the dumpsters were piled sky-high and overflowing with trash. The boat ramp/dock lacked bumpers and needed some serious tlc. Pros: The lake was clean and not too crowded and the...
Read moreGreat stay at Elm Bluff cabin! I wasn't sure which to choose online, but really glad we ended up where we did! The Elm Bluff cabin is the last cabin of the Elm cabin lineup. The other 3 Cabins face out to the road, while Elm Bluff is turned 90° and faces a cove of the lake. The firepit area is more private with lots of room to run around. There is a charcoal grill and a big fire pit, along with a picnic table. The front porch can easily hold 2 lawn chairs. All the Elm Cabins have a fire pit and grill. Parking is right out front. There is a playground and additional restrooms/showers across the street. The Elm Bluff cabin was roomy and clean. It had all the amenities you'd need for a stay. The futons are a little old, so if you plan to sleep on them I'd recommend bringing a foam mattress pad. The bedroom was a good size and has a little hanging storage. A pack and play could easily fit in the bedroom. The bathroom is large and comfortable. The heat/AC worked well. We will definitely stay here again and recommend...
