We had a very enjoyable time on our visit. I read all who left neg reviews, This is not the Hilton, so if your not into fishing, swimming in lake/rivers or other outdoor nature activities, or just too uptight this isn't the place/area for you. But im gonna leave honest review of our stay. We stayed in cabin 101, morning of check in I had call from owners that they had appointment and didn't think they would be there to meet us but left info on cabin and how to get in. We arrived about 2pm and knowing cabin was ready, got checked in. The cabin was very clean, 2 couches in living room, and tv. (Sm side tables for couches would b nice addition ) kitchen was odd arrangement but functional for vac cabin. ( if you plan on doing much cooking you may need bring few kitchen tools or if you ask owner nicely, he maybe able give ya what you need. But there was no sharp knives, tongs, measuring cups, few othere things one may need. I only made fried ham, egg n cheese bagels for breakfast and i had everything i needed. The only thing is i like ice tea and there was not pitcher, but i just bought one when we went out for dinner at dollar store. We had 2 BR, main had a queen bed very firm mattress, little hard for me but hubby liked it. BR 2 had a twin and a bunk bed. Our adult daughter said twin was fine. And a decent sized bathroom. No, none of it fancy but clean and functional. Outside we went for a walk, pool was closed for season, several play things for young children, mini golf simple but child would have fun there(some could use new carpet) also sm basketball area and I think a game RM attached to our cabin, i didn't go in. When we went for our walk Luzvie can over and said hi, she asked if I had AT&T cell service she could boost our reception which was great I went from no reception to being able to use my internet and text w my son who stayed home. We also met Darrell who took care of a smoked detector that was beeping (battery) in game rm. We spent our full day stay at Sam A Baker park swimming, had a fun time w that. And played board games(We brought) that night in our cabin. Next morning we checked out. We all enjoyed ourselves, and was very comfortable and have talk about wanting to go back next year. Thank you, Darrell and Luzvie, hope to see...
Read moreIt's a really nice clean small resort on Clearwater lake not very far at all from the spillway excellent catfishing there is a couple little bars nightclubs kind of close to the area and a small restaurant bait shop convenience store about a mile mile and a half up the road it's really nice the campgrounds are quiet family oriented swimming pool jacuzzi tub outdoors a little fountain spray park wading pool area for children it's kind of an older resort but also a very well-kept clean resort very affordable and very very friendly staff we decided to come get away on a early weekday before memorial Day called them up around 5:00 which is 4:30 is there a check-in time for their cabins and told him which cabins were interested in and we got to pick our cabin and we asked if he would like to have our credit card debit card numbers now so we can make the reservation and he said no that'll be fine we can take care of that tomorrow the key will be in the door which almost blew me away you just don't see that kind of trust and openness in the resort setting they really make you feel at home there's a few campers but not a whole lot of the cabins are filled they anticipate a big weekend but even yet a big weekend here is going to be more laid back and quiet than most any of your resorts and campgrounds we look to come back often it's like a local Little gem that has been kept a secret in the way it looks like probably a lot of regulars come back here they have a nice little RV Park barbecue pits at all the cabins most cabins have screened in porches they all have kitchenettes with utensils included small propane stove middle size refrigerator central heat central air cable TV free Wi-Fi they have a game room basketball court pretty much anything the kids would want to do and most of all we have the beautiful clear water lake very nice I rate this place a solid eight especially if you're just looking for that laid back chill relaxed atmosphere where everybody just enjoys themselves does their own thing and has a good time God I...
Read moreLove the relaxed vibe here! We had a hassle free self check in. Cabins 106 & 107 were cozy and had plenty of space for our needs. Each one had a fully stocked kitchen, two bathrooms with showers, two TVs, a sofa bed, a bedroom with a queen size bed and closet, ceiling fan in each room, small dining table w chairs, outdoor seating, picnic table, grill, and plenty of parking. Drive up to the lake for fishing, boating, or swimming! Hang out in the resort’s game room, play basketball, tether ball, horseshoes, swim in the pool, relax on one of the many porch swings around the resort, or gather around a campfire. This place has something for everyone. The pool was so awesome!! Plenty of shaded seating, nice lighting at night, just an overall ambient atmosphere that works well for all ages. The place also has laundry facilities, firewood, and bags of ice. The owners seemed so kind and friendly, they were very responsive by text, and could be seen around the resort taking care of things. I loved that they gave our family privacy and space to enjoy each other and the amenities of the resort, we were so relaxed the entire time. We will...
