Two words summarize my opinion: Stay here! Kingdom Farm Lodge is unbelievable in beauty and style. Jessi and Eric ought to be on HGTV for what they accomplished with her grandparents authentic but idle farm buildings. Don’t want a high end B&B or Inn? Don’t want to camp? Try the perfect fit for mountain bikers. A comfy bedroom in a restored barn for $45/pp/nt that includes K-cup coffee, a kitchen with fridge to prep and store your own food; large common living area with commanding views of Burke Mountain, an outdoor grill, picnic tables, bike wash station, tool bench and campfire circle stocked with firewood. Next door in the renovated horse barn is a bathhouse – 2 toilets and 2 indoor showers each for men’s and women’s plus the popular and lovely unisex outdoor shower. ||Each bedroom in the renovated barn is named and tastefully decorated in a farm theme: milk house, garden, cabin, sugar house, orchard, horse stall and wilder (decorated by their son an avid biker). The barn is oriented perfectly for sunrise or sunset views from the bedrooms. A girlfriend and I stayed in the garden room – it was comfortable and we took full advantage of the campfire for cocktails, the toaster for our pre-ride carbo load of bagels and the outdoor shower for a nice hot post-ride rinse. I would not hesitate to give this accommodation the highest rating for adventurers who want close access to the Kingdom Trails System, gorgeous views, plenty of common area to hang out and share memories or steal away on a comfy chair under the picture window of Burke Mtn with a good book. The Farm House is also for rent....
Read moreMy group has been Mt. Biking in the Kingdom Trails officially for 10 years. After a decade of camping for 3 days we decided to step up our game. Our game was to find a place that accomadate 16 comfortably with easy access to trailheads. Boom. Done. Eric and Jessi have created a place like no other. Rustic horsebarn, Cattlebarn and Farmhouse have been upgraded with comfort, cleanliness, and super user-friendly facility. Where else can one shower comfortable, post-ride, in a horsebarn listening to Roxy Music on the pumped in music?||||Living in Maine since 1989 it's good to join my group in my home State of Vermont to show them the many wonders of the place. Kingdom Farm enhances the experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in the Kingdom Trail experience. Ride a 1/2 mile up the hill and jump onto Moosealley or Trillium for early ride goodness. ||||Our group pre-reserved the same weekend for next year. ||||Oh Eric, can't wait to ride the new Wilder Trail from the Farm over to the Mountain. Thanks for the first look of it yesterday. Look forward to the end of October customer appreciation weekend. Great work. Dig the Kingdom Farm!...
Read moreThe Kingdom Farm Lodge is a great if your looking for a place budget minded place to stay while mountain biking. Jessi and Eric did an excellent job transforming their barn in to a rustic chic lodging situation. The rooms are uniquely decorated and the common space is comfortable and open. The common bathrooms are nicely lit and very clean. The hosts have provided basic things to make your stay more enjoyable...such as coffee, paper goods, toaster and a fridge to share. They have also added a bike maintenance station, fully wood stocked fire pit a grill outside for everyone to utilize. Not only are the accommodations perfect but the location is great. The lodge is just a quick pedal to one of the best trails out there.. Moose Alley. I have stayed with Jessi and Eric before in the Farmhouse that is for rent next door. And let me tell you, you won't find any other location where the owners care so much about your stay. Highly...
