First time to any Jellystone park. We didn't know there were so many locations and chose this one based on the activities included. For the most part, everything was nice. We had a good time. We love how big the park is. Lots to do! And we definitely want to visit again when the water park is open. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. It was stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, linens, towels, hand soap and shampoo which was a nice surprise because we were under the impression none of that was supplied (based off the website and list of things to bring). But there are SO many things that need improvement.

The majority of the employees are teenagers who just aren't friendly, and a few with attitudes. Most of the daily activities in the barn are highly misleading. And they never announce anything so we are constantly missing things or sitting around waiting for something to start because we're lost. We heard several other families complain about the same thing.

The "tip the turkey" game was never announced, never explained, no one asked if anyone wanted to play. We just happened to see a small group of kids in a circle and found an employee sitting at the table with a plate and some beads.

The "family fling contest" again wasn't announced, wasn't explained, no one went around to hand out supplies. We again just saw people building stuff and we had to ask. Found a bucket with supplies sitting on a table. But the major concern with this one is how they allowed and employee to play the game AND win first place! Very wrong!

S'mores by the fire, hay ride, fire truck - again nothing announced. The activities are just very poorly executed. No announcements, no enthusiasm, no organization. And the prizes whether it's a participation prize or an actual first, second or third place prize - everything was a piece of candy.

Kountry Kreamery - we printed the menu before we arrived only to find out they weren't serving any food. And the pirate cove grill doesn't open till 4 so that was disappointing. The inside was a bit ran down. Lots of construction or unfinished work. Not sure if it's because of off peak season or it's like that all the time.

Also, a suggestion for the "squirrel scavenger hunt" - use stuffed squirrels next time. Expecting guests to drive around the entire camp and happen upon a live squirrel doing all the things on the list is insane. Especially in cold weather. That was crazy. We spent an hour and only found 5 of the 10. They said no other family even turned theirs in - probably because it's impossible. And again, it wasn't announced. We sat at the tables waiting for it to begin only to find out that we had to ask and were given a paper to start.

The air pillows weren't inflated enough to jump on, they just sank.

The laser tag, archery and gel blaster - those employees are super lazy. We arrived 5 mins before our scheduled time and 3 employees sat in their little shack completely ignoring us and the other family scheduled at the same time. There was no one out on the field. About 5 mins after our time they all 3 finally came out and acted like they were annoyed to work. We also reserved a time at 430 for one game which the boy said was the last reservation of the day. We showed up at 420 to find a closed sign out - website says they're open till 5. The employee was completely lost and confused that we had a reservation at 430. Acted like that wasn't correct. About 445 they finally called us to go play.

There were just so many little things that were very annoying and could be executed much better. This place needs work.

I will say we loved the "Family pajama dance night" event in Tuesday evening. One of the best nights we had. And the candy bingo was great. The female employee who ran it was super fun and friendly. We love that they did multiple games and had multiple winners. Although, if you've already won you shouldn't be allowed to continue on the same game with the same card. We played about 5 games and saw 3 families win over and over again. They each left with about...

We booked a Homestead cabin for the weekend to celebrate my daughter’s 10th birthday. We paid nearly $1,000 for two nights. We arrived late with two vehicles, mine and my husband’s. We were told at the gate that we needed to purchase an additional parking tag. I then had to park, go into the office, and pay an additional $10 (plus tax) for a tag. This should have been communicated when I booked it over the phone. Upon arriving to the cabin, it was extremely hot inside. We noticed it had central heat and air, but it did not work. There were two window units for the entire cabin. The loft was incredibly hot, leaving everyone to find room to sleep downstairs. The cabin did not cool down until well into the following morning. I would recommend having these cabins at an appropriate temperature when you know a guest is arriving.

There were many other issues the entire time we were at this location. The doorknob was almost coming out of the door. Locking and unlocking the cabin was tricky, as it felt like we were about to pull the doorknob completely out. There was a hole in the wooden floor by the door leading into the screened in porch. A few of us almost fell through and one twisted their ankle. The table in the screened in porch was completely broken. The master bed was not put together properly when the linens were changed, leading to my husband falling onto the floor when getting into bed. He and I took the linens off and managed to fix the bed. The shower and sink fixtures in the bathroom need to be replaced as there were gaps and loose/hanging parts.

We attempted to cook dinner and realized there were no basic pots, pans, or dishes. I managed to go to a local store to buy a pan and a few other things. When cooking, we wanted to use the vent-a-hood. We noticed there were switches, but no light or fan, as both had been taken out.

We also ran into issues when wanting to do some of the activities offered. We paid extra for our kids to make slime. A few of them did not turn out correctly. Despite it being due to the staff managing and the adding ingredients, they would not fix it. Our kids wanted to try the Gel Blaster and Archery Tag. A man and his son completed a round of Gel Blaster and no one was at the Archery Tag. After they finished, we asked a few young men that were manning that area if we could play. We were told that we would have to wait 30-45 minutes to play, even though no one had even been in the Archery Tag course. They claimed that they needed to “clean up”. We sat and waited while we watched them talk and stay behind the counter, not cleaning anything. We ended up leaving. Activities ended early, most at 6PM. Which is very early for a Saturday in August. The tetherball area was unusable, with both balls torn off the ropes and laying on the ground. I went to the office and notified them but they seemed to not care at all. We asked for a volleyball to play on the sand court and was given a torn up, written on ball to play with. The Lost Maze is a bit dangerous, as it’s full of sticker patches and in one area, a huge piece of tin is laying in the walkway. The Laser Tag area was completely shut down. The pools were dirty and the hot tub was not properly operating.

For what we paid, we certainly expected a lot more. Maybe this was all due to it being at the end of the summer season, but I still feel like the price we paid leaves no room for that excuse. We understand that camping is not equivalent to a hotel stay. But you do advertise yourself as a “glamping” facility. It is just a shame that us hard-working families pay so much money and the accommodations and activities are not updated and kept refreshed. Unfortunately, it did end up being a waste of money for us. Which is a tough pill to swallow because we do not make a lot of money between the two of us as it is. We will likely not be returning to a Jellystone Park after having...

Overall we had a good experience, it was really the other people there that keep it from being a great experience.

Pros: Almost everything is included in the cost of stay (with arts/crafts and food being the few exceptions). This is a great feature compared to other Jellystone's that charge an extra fee for every little thing. The waterpark tied to this Jellystone is pretty decent and we had a good time while there. All the staff we came across were great and very friendly and helpful. The older section of the park has lots of mature trees providing a lot of shade. Having 3 other pools on site was super nice, especially the newer large one to handle the higher crowds during summer since the waterpark is only open 11-6. The water was also nice and chilly in the newer pool. There were many other activities available throughout the day that were included which was not expected after having been to other Jellystone's (such as laser tag, gel blasters, rock climbing, ropes course, petting zoo, mini golf, etc.). I would probably recommend staying in the newer section where sites are a little more spaced out, but there is no shade.

Cons: Regarding the park, the sites are a little too close in the older section to have fire pits. Our neighbor had a fire going all day every day which resulted in our camper being filled with smoke all day. With the matured trees and no wind, the smoke just kind of stagnated lower to the ground and filled a large area. Not sure why they thought having a fire all day when it is almost 100 degrees is a nice thing. Our site was on the end and was only 44' long so we could only fit our 40' camper and had to park our truck elsewhere. Luckily we were near the pool so we just kept it in those parking spots. Other folks had the same issue and just parked their vehicles half in the street. Another negative was the trash truck came to empty the dumpsters at 5AM. What a pleasant wake up call. May not effect all sites, ours just happened to be directly across from the dumpsters. The grill was terrible, not sure why they even have it. They had pizza on the menu but were not serving pizza. The food we got was clearly just frozen stuff reheated. The smaller kid section of the waterpark is definitely showing its age and could use some serious TLC. Most kids couldn't even get down the slides without getting stuck. We typically went to the waterpark when it opened and left early afternoon when it got really crowded.

Other people there were a bit of a negative as well. I have not been in such a large collection of so many self centered people who have no clue a world other than them exists in a long time. A lot of it was just younger unattended kids who didn't give a single care about destroying Jellystone's property. Sometimes the parents or other adults were just as bad. The drivers of golf carts all seemed to think they were in a NASCAR race as well as drove them in places they shouldn't. We almost got run over leaving the newer pool the first day there because somebody's kids were driving a golf cart on the sidewalk between the building and pool where there is a blind corner. However not all to their fault, the park has very poor signage about where to go and not to go. Not sure why so many get golf carts because the cost for them is ridiculous and you can easily walk or drive your own car everywhere within the park.

The park overall is a very nice Jellystone, it could benefit from a little bit of enforcement to avoid it feeling like absolute...
