Sandhills Suites — Hotel in Burwell

This boutique was an unexpected surprise. It's an unassuming historic building but the rooms have been updated to modern standards - it's nicer than a lot of the chain hotels I've stayed at, dead silent at night, very clean, and great water pressure in a nice shower. I also liked the self check-in: there is not receptionist, they just text you a code for your room and you let yourself in. We left Iowa in route to CO without knowing where we were going to stay overnight. We came across this hotel, and it was absolutely perfect. This was such a neat place to stay. Loved how simple it was to just get texted your room code and not even have to check in. The whole process was a breeze. Room was spacious, comfortable, priced reasonably, and had an amazing view of the Burwell town square. Incredible location. This was one of the most memorable hotel stays I've had in a long time and I'm looking for an excuse to visit again....
