We stay at Paradise Oaks at least a few times a year. We started coming here 9 years ago and absolutely love it!! It's super clean with nice paved streets and level concrete sites. The amenities are great, we especially love the pool and it's always kept spotless. I know some folks are not fond of the train, but I grew up in a town with trains (my great grandfather was an Engineer) and it doesn't bother us at all, in fact we record it because we get such a kick out of it. My husband and I both ride motorcycles, this area is one of the prettiest places in Florida to ride. The pull thru sites are plenty long enough for our big rig. Over the years we have invited several Rv friends to check it out and they all love it as well. We've stayed at two other parks in Bushnell, none of them can compare to this one!

We are newbies to the RV world. It so happens the RV we bought the owner was staying here at Paradise Oaks. After we purchased the seller gave us a gift 6 weeks to get acclimated with RV life. We can't say we took advantage of what this park had to offer, because it has a lot of perks, but our mission was setting up our new life. Switching from a brick and mortar home to a home on wheels. 1st of all it is immaculate!!! Everywhere is clean and shiny. From the bathrooms to the office. Th park is laid out great with concrete pads, blacktop roads, and so easy to maneuver. The owners are young couple friendly and available. I am giving them 5 stars based without any experience staying at a RV park and my familiarly of staying in hotels. I would definitely come back.

I just wanted to stop by and say thank you to all of the residents and owners for treating my grandparents and their friends so well over the 15 seasons that they held a spot up front! As grandma is no longer going to be a “snowbird” she will be able to love and spend a lot of time with her first great grandchild here soon! For the ones who might be looking for a good park for their parents to potentially stay at for winters to get out of the cold northern months, I can say from experience that you won’t have any worries. This park cares about their residents! But watch out for those ladies on bingo, they take it seriously! Again, Thank you Paradise Oaks

We were annual residents for one year. In this year we found the owners and management to be very dishonest hosts and management. They were caught “double dipping” on site rent (charging two residents for the same site and refusing to refund when caught). They charge actual cost for electric PLUS almost another 50% for themselves. They burn trees and brush leaving a cloud of ash to blanket beautifully maintained RVs and vehicles. They yell at guests for simply having a genuine concern and most of all has become a hub for obnoxious musicians to continuously practice music all day every day breaking the parks own documented rules of conduct that they refuse to enforce. Residents are nickel and dimed for absolutely everything. Owners Greg and Yvonne Mixon have really turned this once lovely resort into a money grabbing, non rule enforced racket that the local community is even beginning to resent. The owners inherited money, bought the RV resort and with their selfishness and greed are running it into trash. So many lovely residents are leaving. Just look elsewhere and read their most resent google...

Stayed for 3 weeks this November and December. I’m going to wholeheartedly agree with other comments about the sites being well done. The park being clean and the facilities are great, nice walking trails etc.

The shortcomings:

THE TRAIN. So there are mainline tracks just across the road from the park. During the day, whatever. Night is a different issue however. The train comes through very often, all night long. Because there are many level crossings in the area they have to blow the horn…a lot! Some folks don’t have a problem with this, we did.

We initially stayed on a nightly basis to check the place out. As we found the park to be quite good…except for the train. We decided to extend our stay. Management would not pro-rate our stay on the monthly rate even though we were not going to be there for an entire month…not cool.

Small thing but irritating nonetheless. WIFI was only free to those staying on a seasonal basis. This is nickel and diming.

I would have given the park a better grade but we couldn’t get past the train. I appreciate others wouldn’t see this as much...

Used to be an excellent resort, but has gone downhill in the last year. Lots of snowbirds moving out.||||Good: ||- Bath houses are clean.||- Lawn is cut around RV sites.||- Nice introductory price.||- Free wireless||- Park maintenance workers are nice.||||||Bad:||- Owners do not bother to communicate with guests.||- If you ask for maintenance or repairs to be done, be prepared to be labeled a troublemaker and be "black balled".||- High turnaround of employees,||- Employees are micro-managed and aren't allowed to speak without permission of owners.||- Owners charge seasonal's 150% percent of the local electrical rate.||- Campground has gone to a rent and a-la-cart system; you are now expected to pay for formerly "free services".||||Park needs to be investigated by the Florida Attorney General for violations of Florida RV and mobile home laws, and violating Florida elder...
