Blackhawk's Trail Lodge — Hotel in Byron Township

My husband and I (and our old dog Charlie) stayed for one night...the lodge is small, clean, and comfortable. We had a very nice time. The lodge is situated in a beautiful spot on the Rock River...it was the perfect place for us to relax and rejuvenate. Becky created a nice bed for our dog and even left treats for him (he loved that). It is the little things that they provide that mean so much. There are plenty of outside furniture to relax on ( or socialize as a group). The rooms and the grounds are decorated with lots of unique items (nice/tasteful)....have fun spying /looking for them. Becky and Dee were wonderful "hosts" ...we had a great time visiting and laughing together. Charlie loved them both also. The rooms are clean, decorated nice, and are very reasonably priced. The rooms are comfortable, impeccably clean, and adorably decorated with antiques and lots of fun individual touches. But the best part was the huge deck, partially enclosed and partially open-air. Beautiful flowers, hummingbirds, whimsical statues, wind chimes, a bubbling fountain, and birds galore coming into the huge array of feeders. Tons of comfortable seating and even a hanging bed (!!) to kick back and watch the river go by. It was lovely to relax with a book and decompress. The owners Dee and Becky treated us like family. The rooms are adorable and impeccably clean, decorated with antiques and lots of lovely little touches. The best part was the huge deck, partially enclosed and partially open air. Tons of comfortable seating, including a hanging bed (!!), with beautiful flowers and plants, hummingbirds zipping by, whimsical statues and decorations, a bubbling fountain, and a large variety of birds coming in to the feeders.
