Fun and unique! Loved the star gazing trailer, the themed room (Seek and Snore) was a hit with my younger children! They love looking at all the well thought out details of animals and nature hidden all over the room. The complementary snacks and water were perfect after being out in the heat, too. I especially loved the vintage suitcase turned into a cabinet in the kitchenette! There were plenty of outlets for charging devices. The shower was nice, the water was well filtered! Kids liked the games to play outside, we were too tired to use the firepits, but they looked cozy! The fan in the room was much appreciated, it was a 100° day and the a/c had trouble keeping up! Appreciated wi-fi and Netflix though we did lose internet for a bit earlier in the morning. Our only complaints, if they can even be called complaints, the light coming in from the well lit walkway through the blind. We put a blanket over the window to block out some light. A small nightlight in the bathroom would've been nice for the children so they didn't have to turn on a bright light in the middle of the night to go. Hubby kept stubbing his toes on the middle-side of the bed frame and suggested a piece of foam there might be nice. 6' and taller persons kept bonking heads on the awesome, over table branch decor (sorry birdies!) If you are sensitive to perfumes, I would request sheets and towels be washed w/o detergent. I had trouble resting because the clean bedclothes were strongly scented (I have a sensitive nose, my husband who does not was unbothered.) All-in-all, the details of the entire property are fun and lovingly placed. We could tell a lot of time and effort was put into The Lazy Buffalo! The vintage displays outside of rooms, plenty of rocking chairs and places to be peaceful and "veg-out," outdoor activities and room details were superior to any place we've stayed before! There were LOTS of stick bugs all over it was so cool for the kids!

We stayed in the Iron Door cabin at the Lazy Buffalo on our last night at Fort Sill after we had cleared housing. I was originally looking for a hotel but all of the decent ones were booked. I came across this on the airbnb site and I am so glad that I did. It was perfect! At first the room seemed a little small but it was very well maintained, cozy, and it felt much more homey than a hotel room would have. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the laundry room services and we made good use of the fire pit and porch rockers. It was so peaceful out there. Great experience at The Lazy Buffalo! Highly recommend!

Perfect for what we needed! Small but cozy room with 2 beds, TV, wifi, full bath, mini fridge, microwave, kerug, and sink- no stove. Very clean, great communication by host, well priced, few activities outside (cornhole, horseshoes, fire pit, etc). 20 min from wichita mountains and 20 min from Lawton. Highly recommend if you're looking for a no frills but comfortable and relaxing stay! PS, If you're looking for the AC remote... try looking by the door 😆

This place is absolutely amazing we had our wedding, our reception and our guests and us all stayed here!! Our wedding was 12/31/2020 and was super easy to book on airbnb. If you have questions you can also message them on Facebook and they get right back to you and are super friendly! The owners are extremely personable and welcoming. We booked the entire hotel which is 5 perfect rooms that are all unique, we all had fun just checking out each others rooms! We had family come from out of state so it was nice to have the entire place to ourselves to hang out and the owners give you privacy but if you ever need anything they are right down the road. We booked the event center for 24 hours and the rooms for 2 days to have our wedding. The lazy buffalo is extremely wallet friendly!! It was spectacular they let us decorate and theres 2 bedrooms that sleep 4 people each with a bathroom in each room and a 3rd bathroom in the center! This place is so uniquely decorated and we could have our wedding of thirty guests and be comfortable. Theres also a kitchen and bar area that was perfect. Theres also plugs in the ground so we got to light up our tables and arch for the wedding!! I just can't say enough it was absolutely perfect for what we wanted to do. We got married in the event center then brought out the tables for the reception, theres even room for dancing! Then your guest can just walk right next door and go to their room. No driving after the reception a huge bonus! The location is private but still close to stores so you can run and get what you need in a hurry! I got ready in my hoteI room and theres a path I walked to the side door of the event center to make my entrance which was perfect. I can't thank the owners enough for making our dream come true. The rooms and event center are warm and well ventilated and clean clean clean. It was snowing that night and everyone stayed warm and cozy! The personal touches the owners put into the entire place are breathtaking it is truly one of a kind. It's just so amazing how hospitable the owners are, thank you so much for making our...

The Lazy Buffalo has potential, but it misses the mark in a few important ways.

CONS: • The cabin A/C units are weak and outdated. There’s even a sticky note next to each unit suggesting “72° is optimal”—but none of our cabins ever cooled that low. Management clearly knows this since every room also comes with an oscillating fan. Without the fan, sleeping comfortably would’ve been impossible. • The couch in the lodge is downright gross. No clue when it was last cleaned, but it feels long overdue. • WiFi is basically useless. I’m convinced they’re running a residential setup for the whole property. It was painfully slow—I ended up relying on my phone’s data most of the time. • No ice machine anywhere on site (that I could find).

PROS: • The main hall/community room is great—lots of space, a big kitchen, and perfect for group activities. • Location is solid: only about 15 minutes from Medicine Park. • Horseshoes, cornhole, and frisbee golf are a nice touch. • Fire pit and outdoor charcoal grill made evenings fun. • Management is pretty reliable. Easy to reach.

INDIFFERENT: • The lodge offers washers and dryers, but the hours of availability could be better.

Overall: a 3-star stay. It works fine for a group gathering if you don’t mind sweating it out in the cabins and bringing your own...
