Cadiz Motel — Hotel in Cadiz

I guess housekeeping had something else to do instead because the room was definitely far less than clean. They missed some obvious details, like the entire floor which was just dirty. There were several things in the bathroom which had not been cleaned at all. We showered and had to wear socks in the room the remainder of the stay because our feet were filthy after just a few minutes. The beds were comfortable, with clean linens. There were clean towels too. Roku allowed us to watch show 'teasers' but not more than a few minutes of every show we wanted to watch, then skipped automatically to shows on the same channel but only a few minutes, then changed to a new 'teaser.' Like, if you actually wanted to watch a show, THIS is what it would be like, but you can't watch it. The room had adequate beds, a shower and a locking front door. Basics were there but it was not guest ready. The floors, you know? Check-in was smooth. Woman called us with the code. Not impressed by the room cleanliness, though. Would choose another place, for certain. We were grateful for the bed, clean linens and sheets and a locked door, because that's what we got: a bed and a shower. We had been driving all day. There's pizza in town, for takeout.

We are working in the area and staying in one of the four camper spots they offer. We are away from the road enough as to not hear much road noise, but not enough to make it a hassle to get out. The staff and owners are great people, very accommodating. They have good wi-fi and plenty of parking. Accommodates 30 and 50 amp trailers, sewer access for each spot, and fair water pressure.
