On the evening of Sunday October 31,2021 I was cited by a MWCD park ranger for no taillights and fra suspension. The MWCD park ranger informed me My 1988 Chevy S-10 would be towed by Bills Towing. I made contact with Bills Towing Nov. 1st -2nd 2021,to inquire about cost of towing my 1988 Chevy S-10. Their rates were $85 for tow plus mileage and $35 per day for storage. I would also need the court to release my 1988 Chevy S-10. I contacted the court and was told they could not release My 1988 Chevy S-10 because they did not impound it. Great, I thought. I called Bills Towing and said the court could not release my 1988 Chevy S-10 because they did not have it and I'm on my way to get it. Bills Towing then referred me to MWCD Seneca Lake Park Manager. The MWCD PARK MANAGER said I had to go to court before the court would release it to me. As of December 17th ,2022 I have never received a court release for my 1988 Chevy S-10. The court did investigate after I wrote a letter to them. The court determined that i had the right to retrieve my 1988 Chevy S-10 on November 1st ,2021 as I tried to do. On December 2nd ,2021 my truck was released by MWCD PARK MANAGER and MWCD PARK RANGER that issued me the citations, according to Bills Towing. Total owed for tow, plus mileage and storage was approximately $1472.80. I was found guilty in court and fined $50 for fra suspension and $2 for no taillights. Total $52 .00, because the court was not going to add to the burden I was going through. I never mentioned anything about my truck and I also never received a release from the court as I was told by THE MWCD SENECA LAKE PARK MANAGER I would receive after court. I'm responsible for $85 tow plus mileage, possibly $35 for 1 day storage. I would appreciate it if Bills Towing would do the right thing and give me back my property immediately. I have no problem paying the bill I am responsible for. I have been judged and sentenced in a court of law and no mention of taking my property. I want my 1988 Chevy S-10 I paid $600 for back. According to the courts investigation you should of gave me my property on the date they determined. For whatever reason you didn't . Please....
Read moreWe booked site 331 for 3 nights . Having been to the beach in the past , and having had good experiences, we figured we’d try camping there . The campsite is not anywhere close to level , there was broken glass everywhere , and it smelled of raw sewage . We were on the water , and there was a dock on our site . Having two small children I was excited they could fish off the dock and have a good time . The second day a boat docked and the entire clan walked right though our campsite , giving us looks of resentment because they had to walk through our “tent” site . That evening my two children were fishing and my 5 year old daughter was actively reeling in her first fish ever , when the boat owners came down . I told them that we would be out of their way and they ignored me . She landed her fish , and we moved out of their way . They didn’t say anything , just looked at us like we didn’t belong . After they came back through our site and said “ you can use the dock but it’s private , don’t snag our boat “ and walked off like we were peasants . There were no signs saying private , and we had no intentions of snagging their boat doing anything destructive . Needless to say , we left a day early and will likely never return . If you looking for family camping look elsewhere . They look down on people in tents and act like their doing you a favor by letting you stay on a 45 degree angle...
Read morePOST COVID REVIEW: We camped in the Woodlands area. Our campsite was exactly level but the area was very hilly so some chance that others are not as level. All the concrete pads were very clean and seemed new. All amenities were open but social distancing being practiced when at the beach restaurant. The lake was really clean and beach area well maintained. It is large too, so distancing was not a problem. The campground is pet friendly but no dog beach. There are a few playgrounds suited for kids maybe ages 4-7. The campsite had full hook ups and all the utility hook ups were brand new and super nice. The electric hookup box even had a light on it. Shower houses were well maintained and spacious. There are about eight stalls in the Woodlands area. The campground seems to have a lot of seasonal/ permanent residents. Quiet hours weren’t strongly enforced. Overall a great...
