Budget Inn — Hotel in Cambridge

I will never stay here again. It's a dump and the owner behaved like an ass. We arrived and our reservation was not recorded correctly and they had us down for a week later than we booked. There was not even a hint of the possibility that the error could have been theirs and not ours. I assure you this was NOT our mistake. They did, however, have rooms for my friend and me. It was a not-that-hot day in August, yet the AC in my room on the second floor had not been turned on and it was an oven. The antiquated, dinky AC window unit was inadequate to cool the room even though it was about the size of a large bathroom. The room was very tiny with the bed shoved up against the wall. There was only one light in the room... an overhead ceiling light. There was no nightstand to set a phone or for me to set my CPAP machine on. The bathroom was filthy. I could have dealt with all that, but when I complained to the owner that my room was too hot and not cooling down, he was rude. He offered a million excuses about why the room was hot and why I should be patient for it to cool down. At one point he swore at me! He should have offered to find a room that could be cooled, or at the very least to discount my room or comp it altogether. I've been staying at hotels for many years and I can tell you this is one of the absolute worst I've stayed in and the treatment I received some of the worst as well. Avoid this place...

Nice peaceful place.....rooms are spacious and comes with a microwave and fridge. Now the only problem is that my father was laying down and a bug was crawling on him. He gets up and pulls sheet back and a yellow stain that looks like a pee stain in bed plus crumbs. So, I immediately call front desk to alert the staff and his reactions on phone was poorly...I was like a bug was crawling on my dad and theres yellow stain on sheets. He said theres no bugs. I was like sir I took pictures to show you. He was like I do not want to see pictures but what do you want to do. I was like I want to go to sleep. So, point blank nothing was done. No new sheets or a discount. Only thing he said is I will talk to my housekeeping.

I believe someone stayed in room and used bed than housekeeping remade bed without changing sheets. Which is nasty and if sheets was changed than why is there big crumbs under a made bed. The bug I'm going to hope it flew in because dads bed was by door... Also, pillows need upgraded to firm

I recommend this place do to good prices and overall clean but check sheets and report housekeeping if any problems asap but I believe this will be corrected before any other guest stays here.
