My husband & I were desperately in need of respite when we happened upon this establishment on Google. Because I am not from SC & my husband is a native, we've confined our recent travels within the borders of the state in an effort to show me more of SC. I cannot tell you what a find this place is. Firstly, we came in on a Friday (2/12/2021) -- a day on which their daughter, who is a culinary wunderkind, offers a hot, fresh weekly lunch. We skipped breakfast in anticipation of this meal based on previous reviews -- we were not disappointed. The BBQ plates were amazing & because we reserved plates in advance, we checked-in & immediately sated our appetites. Next, COVID has had a harmful impact on small business. We happened to be the only patrons on the property this weekend. But, we consider ourselves lucky, as the property is well appointed & very serene. My husband, being a farmer himself, was stricken by how well the farm & its appendant businesses are run. There are so many things to praise that I'm sure I'll run out of characters. Know this: The owners are affable & considerate. The goods sold at the on-site store are delicious & crafted from animals on this farm. Do have a Friday afternoon lunch. And know that if you book a stay, the breakfast was just what we needed. The bed was comfortable & slept well -- we are buying the very mattress we slept on here to hopefully replicate the great night's rest we experienced here. Amenities are provided that speak to any need -- from forgetting shampoo to the unforeseen headache. Their personal animals are as friendly & welcoming as the owners are. Lastly, if you're wondering whether we would stay here again -- we've already reserved a stay for our anniversary in May & we anticipate spending time here regularly. Get thee to Old...

So many wonderful things to say. At the foot of the bed was a beautiful wool blanket. I admired it immediately and said, "This must be imported." The next morning I folded the blanket back to its original spot. After a fabulous breakfast we began to chat about the farm and I mentioned the blanket. I was over the moon when our host said, not only did the wool come from sheep right there on the farm, I could purchase a blanket at the store. I selected a blue and grey plaid lapper blanket.

I want everyone to know this is the most fabulous blanket, I have ever had! I have owned over a half dozen Pendleton blankets - it is a tradition in my family. My daughter even received her first Pendleton when she was three weeks old. I have always had a Pendleton on the back of my sofa. On top of it all, I quilt and I know the value of comfort and warmth. I know longer use my Pendleton to take naps with. My McCaskiill Farm blanket is now my go to blanket. It's what I sleep under every night. Its what I wrap myself in when I'm reading or watching TV. How amazing is it to live in South Carolina and have a treasured blanket made right here in this state? The weight of the blanket is great and it keeps the body temperature perfect. Not too hot, not too cool. I want everyone to own one of these blankets. Its better than any Pendleton I've ever had. ...

We got to spend Christmas at the farm this year. The owner Kathy is amazing! She made sure we were comfortable and having a great time! The farmhouse is a bed n breakfast. All the rooms have a different view of the farm. It's so warm and inviting! I loved getting to feed the lambs in the mornings, and collecting the eggs in the chicken coop ❤ I'm a animal lover and this place is heaven for me! They have chickens, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, bunnies and the sweetest dogs and cats you have ever seen! I could of taken them all home with me lol They have a country store filled with farm made items like fresh eggs, meats, frozen country meals, honey, canned goods and of course nice warm wool blankets! It's such a magical and beautiful place! Once you're there you forget about the stress of the world. It's hard to leave. I can't wait to go back again in the spring to see all the babies!

We stayed at the bed and breakfast for two nights before the Solar Eclipse. The hosts Kathy and Lee were great. Kathy made a farm fresh breakfast every morning. The house is very nice and full of antiques. The room we slept in was the paddock room and my parents slept across the hall in the fox swamp room. There was plenty of things to do around the farm to keep my 8 year old son occupied, from feeding the lamb in the morning to roaming the property at night. We had a blast!
