We stumbled on this great family run inn right on the water front. Stayed two nights with our granddaughters and had a great time. The family running the resort are kind, helpful and friendly. We would definitely come back. A couple of things to be aware of the rooms are on the small side, built in the 50s so that is expected. Our beds were queen size and took up the entire bedroom with about a foot to walk on each side. Not a problem but to be aware of. We did keep stumbling over the chairs - I think its because they are vintage and the feet are outside the seat rather than straight down, but no broken toes! We only had one issue with the plumbing not draining well and a backed up toilet in the morning. Other than that we enjoyed swimming on the beach right outside our door, night fishing on the dock and grilled on the Weber grill right outside our door. Perfect summer relaxing vacation! We...
Read moreI can't stay at the Old Mill, because it no longer exists. But I've found an adequate replacement. If you are allergic to tobacco, pet-dander and huge waves, call Teresa or Jen. I'm a cynical journalist, and I couldn't "catch" them doing anything wrong. You'll not find kinder hostesses who are on-premises 24 hours anywhere. If you also dislike cooking, there are popular Mexican and Barbecue eateries minutes away. You are also a pleasant drive away from the best view in Missouri, in my opinion. Look down from the old Ha Ha Tonka State Park castle at the spring-fed cove below. Wow! And huge hybrid striped bass lurk there if, you know, you're tired of catching crappie in the heated dock a few steps away from your abode or the other species readily available on the Little Niangua arm....
Read moreMy family and I have stayed at Breezy Point Resort for over 20 years. I have stayed in other areas of the Lake of the Ozarks and in our opinion, this is by far the best resort on the Lake to stay at. Great people to enjoy the vacation with (other customers and the Boss family are always fantastic), calm waters, great boat docks close to the cabins, world class fishing if you like crappie and bass, with marinas, restaurants and night life close by. What more could you ask for? If you want a big complex with lots of stairs and very rough water - this is not the place for you. If on the other hand you want a very relaxing environment with great calm water for swimming, fishing, boating and water sports, you really do not need to look...
