Extremely trashy. The people that run it are a mess. They are shady and have their law enforcement friends harass people with no rhyme or reason, besides not liking the fact they were turned down. Michael had my late fiance harassed by his police friends (he stated they were friends) to the point of my fiance committing suicide in Camden county. They lied to him and harassed him. They couldn’t make the fake story stick so they got him for something minor , a late child support payment. Most don’t get arrested for that these days, right? He was set to be released the day after he hung himself. Instead he was harassed repeatedly as we both had been the day prior. Never once told that he was being extradited and released, instead told they were pinning him for fake made up stuff that Michael threw out there, including me also being in jail and I never was. I don’t have a record, nor did they ever have a reason to arrest me. People don’t do what he did in custody over child support when being released. They tried to pin him for fake made up stuff and I asked for a tape they claimed to have they never had. So they came back the next day over child support. 🤦🏼♀️ The person actually stealing from the campground that Michael Kunz handed a key to, the old worker that he hired and let into the office is the thief. They knew that. In fact, this same person was arrested in a different state for this reason not once but several times surrounding this time period. I’m finally strong enough to speak out. Sorry, I didn’t find you attractive enough for you to leave my family alone, Michael. Maybe pay the same attention to your wife and kids as you tried to pay to me and my family. This place is a joke. Not only that THEY stole several items of ours as our camper sat over that first night before I got it out after he was arrested the next day. They told us it was on their property so they could...
Read moreI had never rented a cabin or a campsite at a KOA campground before renting this one. I was looking for a place near Lake of the Ozarks that was close to a friend of mine‘s house for the Fourth of July weekend. When I was looking online at the website they had several options for lodging so I called to ask a few questions and the representative that answered the phone from the campground was so friendly right away. She explained the differences in cabins and where they were located throughout the grounds. She was very patient with me as I was undecided as to exactly which days or which cabin I was going to rent. After calling back two more times, I decided on the deluxe cabin with a patio. I paid the deposit and when I got there on 3 July and went into the camp store to check in I was greeted by two very friendly women. I told him how excited I was to be there and they told me how excited they were for me to be there . Not only did they give me a map and explain where the cabin was, but they also escorted me by golf cart to my actual cabin. The pictures on the website don’t do it any justice. It was perfect! There is a bunkbed in a bedroom that actually has a pocket door that closes. Both of those are double mattresses. There was a very comfortable queen size mattress in the main room. There was a sink big enough to wash some dishes and make coffee in the morning. The patio was equipped with a charcoal grill, table and chairs, and even a porch swing on a frame. There were several decorative bushes and flowers planted throughout the grounds. It was very quiet, even though there was not very many empty sites. There is a community pool and that wasn’t even loud. I would highly recommend this KOA campground and cannot wait to check out more...
Read moreNice wooded place with quite a few trees for shade. The trees look to be around 50’ and could be 30 yrs old or so. Wifi works well. I’m in spot #10 and there is a nice fire pit, picnic table, charcoal grill, and bench. The site is on a pretty good incline and the backside is next to a wooded area that goes a couple hundred yards before you can see any other structures. I posted some photos of the sewage and water that they are repairing in the adjacent site. The sewer connection runs up hill before it goes into the main line. It goes into a tee where code in any city would require a wye. The water line is running right next to it in the same trench—code violation in most areas. If sewer water gets into the water line, you could become very sick. I wouldn’t consider the water potable. The people that work here are very nice and helpful. For $20 they delivered a nice pile of firewood. It was dry and pretty thick. You need a hatchet to split it smaller. The shower/bathroom looks newly tiled and is clean. They can refill propane tanks. Super WalMart center is only 3 miles away as well as a Taco Bell, Sonic, and McDonalds. At night, you can hear highway sounds, as it is right off highway 54. The sites are pretty spread out comparatively. You can hear many different kind of birds singing, including woodpeckers. No mosquitoes so far. The ground is very rocky and it would be hard to tent camp. Had a visit from a raccoon in the middle of the night. His name is Kevin and they say...
