My family and I spent a short overnight here on our way to a funeral, and while it wasn't the worst place we have ever stayed, it wasn't exactly nice. The entire place was totally middling, which (to be fair) may just be what you get in a small town 2-star hotel.
The rooms weren't filthy, but it wasn't exactly what I would call clean. The walls had been touched up with paint that didn't quite match, and the various holes in the walls from where things had been previously mounted were poorly patched and quite visible. The bathroom shower had rust and mold growing on the ceiling, and the tiles were cracked and moved when you walked across them. The air conditioning worked well, but the ac made an awful noise every time it came on. The pillows were the smallest, poorest excuse for a place to rest your head that I have ever encountered and looked to be sized for a baby's crib.
The breakfast might have been okay if you like and are able to eat waffles, but the rest wasn't great. The only source of protein was some microwaved tasting sausage patties and gravy. The hash browns were so gross and freezer burned-tasting that I had to spit mine out. I guess it's hard to complain about free breakfast, but even as cheap as I tend to be, we had to go out and get some edible food for everyone.
Any of these in isolation is probably just par for the course given the circumstances, but taken together I don't think I'd recommend this place to anyone I liked, although it beats sleeping in your car, so I guess...
Read moreWe stayed here two years ago when we came in town to visit family and it was a wonderful experience. This year… not so much. While the staff was friendly, they were very unhelpful. We entered our room to smell mildew and the air conditioning was turned off so the room was hot and musty. The shower was dirty with hair (not from the head). The door didn’t latch shut. The next morning we reported the door issue to the staff and were told there was nothing they could do because there were no maintenance people available but she “would keep an eye on our room to make sure no one stole anything”. No new room was offered. Later that night we found old food on the floor behind the curtain. Many rooms were open with fans indicating a leak which could explain the musty smell in the building. I am a very sensitive to mold and left the visit with a horrible migraine. We will never stay here again. With all the issues I feel like a refund should have been offered but I was met with nothing but I’m sorry I’ll share your concerns with the manager. The other hotel in town is double the price and I would pay that extra in a heart beat to never...
Read moreWe had an amazing experience at the Fairbridge Inn & Suites! The staff was ultra kind and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was delicious with Texas waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage, pastries and more. The rooms were really clean with mini fridge and microwaves. Our kids loved the mural in the lobby and enjoyed playing around in the lobby. It was very affordable and convenient especially for being so last minute having had to stop due to fog on...
