Kennolyn Camps — Hotel in Capitola

The first word I have to describe our families experience with Kennolyn is THANKFUL. We are thankful that my son at 11 or 12 (now 19), who didn’t want to go to sleep-away camp for fear of no outlets and video games, got out of the car (under extreme protest) that fateful first day.

We are thankful that he found a camp environment he would embrace and become passionate about each and every year since and all the way through being a Junior counselor. We are thankful that his younger sister, now in the leadership program, has had an equally exceptional experience (less any protesting). 😊

My boys just completed their second week of Kennolyn and today, on their last day, my 8 year old got into the car and gave me a piece of candy from their egg hunt in the forest and said “here Mom, this is for you to thank you for letting us come to Kennolyn this Summer so I could do so many cool things”! Every single day for two weeks on our car rides home my boys would talk enthusiastically about all of the activities they did, the friends they made, the new things they tried. I honestly haven’t seen my boys this happy and excited about anything in months and I am so thankful for all of the wonderful people at Kennolyn that created this truly special place and program. We got married at the Stone Creek Village on 10/7 and did the weekend wedding package so that the majority of our guests could stay onsite with us. The Kennolyn staff was amazing and were always available if anyone needed anything. It was a great time having most of the wedding party being able to stay on site for the entire weekend and have their own cabins. Elyse, Deidre and Andrea went above and beyond to ensure that the entire weekend ran smoothly. They spent so much time walking through all of the decor so that everything would be set up to perfection, and even went as far as making sure coffee, breakfast and drinks were brought to the bridal getting-ready suite (Monie's Cottage).
