A real gem of a rv campground. Of all the locations we’ve been, this is in the top 2 (the other NW Atlanta GA). Huge spacious lots, and plenty of grass space from your neighbors. Fairly open, not forested but seems like 300 sapling trees planted so more shade and privacy in the works. We visited early September after summer season, and very peaceful and mostly adults. Very quiet, no blaring music, mostly seniors so a more mature and friendly crowd. $5/day parking at water where b2 boat launch ramps are. Definitely a huge body of water, top of our future list to launch our inflatable boat as at this time of year plenty of space to maneuver and water traffic minimal. Wish we had a huge body of water as this at home and remote enough to keep the noise down. Only suggestions, don’t allow fishing from boat launch ramps as someone parked at one and set up 3-4 chairs down the ramp as if their property. And need walking trails. Also why reservation checkin confirmation states 5 pm but doesn’t state office closes at 6 pm? Awkwardly we departed at 10:30 am well before the published 4 pm checkout but the next occupants arrived before we departed and front office told them we had left...

Nice camping spot. Good views. If you like the water there are plenty of sites on the water and if you're more of a camp in the bush type of person they have plenty of those types too. They have quite a lot of amenities as well. Water and sewer hookups for campers on select sites, water spouts for fill ups and a sewage dump station for the sites that don't. They have public restrooms and public showers. They are pet friendly. The sites themselves are large even spots. There are even a couple sites that have the pads connected in case you wanna camp in tandem with family or friends. You can also have up to two tents on the same site as your camper. There is also a large public beach and park area that adjoins a large boat dock and parking lot with fish cleaning stations and another public restroom.........Everything is always neat and clean and there are park hosts that live on site in case you need any information or help......I have been camping here since I was a kid and it's...

TERRIBLE!!!

They have terrible hosts right now. It was our first time there and we spent one night. The next day, the hosts threatened to call the rangers and have us removed from the campground over a sticker. A sticker that they never gave us and was THEIR FAULT. Which they admitted was THEIR FAULT. We left after one night and went to Eldon Hazlet Campground instead, where the hosts and campers are more friendly overall. We will never go back to Cole's creek or recommend this place to anyone. Oh and I forgot to mention, they have campers getting their stuff stolen all the time. Which is why they have a cop living in the campground, right by the host campers. Don't come to this campground unless you want your vacation to be ruined...

We have been to several campgrounds throughout the states YET!!! I have to say, Sherry is one of the sweetest host we have EVER came across. Even her knowledge on camping as well as her surroundings of things to do was very impressive. Her & her husband, Les are two perfect couples for a job of this field. Unlike the other 2 older host which took over when they was gone. They appeared to be just miserable they even had to be there. Your host is whom makes you feel at home..... Those two only made us feel like we should go home. Mind you we was at campsite #2 directly across the road from them. Thank you Sherry for making up where they defaulted May I add: we only wished coles had some sort of bike trails or even somewhere to ride.
