WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS BEFORE SPENDING 200+ A NIGHT
I have stayed at AmericInn Silver City a few times and have been very unpleased with the customer service from an employee by the name of Connie.
She is a horrible and rude individual and I would never hire somebody like that at my company. During my stay a few weeks ago, my TV in my room did not work and her response was "Nothing I can do about it." This is unacceptable when I paid $230 per night to stay there. My most recent stay on Friday, she kicked my group out from the lobby while getting dressed to go out riding. She told us to move our truck and trailer since we were not checked in until 3pm. This makes sense to me considering the parking lot is not very good for all the trucks and trailers. But she was so rude and nasty about it, I thought she was joking. I asked if what do I when I come back that evening to check in and there is no room and her response was, "well you're shit out of luck." Again, this is unacceptable for the amount of money I pay to stay there.
Connie also stated that the hotel " does not need snowmobilers and we just cause problems." Judging off how much I spend each year alone in the UP on riding, I know that snowmobilers are what keep the lights on for that hotel and many other businesses up there.
I am mad at myself for the amount of money I have spent and given that hotel now and will surely never spend another dime there!! I will be telling everybody that I know not to ever go there.
I'm not sure if this email will ever get read or replied to, but Connie told me you were not working over this weekend so I did not get the chance to speak with you in person.
She is a terrible person to interact with customers and I'd suggest she never is at the front desk again. I spoke with 2 other groups in the parking lot before leaving and they asked me, "what's with that lady at the front counter being so bitchy to us for no reason."
Please think about who is employed there because I love coming up to the UP and this ruined my stay and one less place I can now stay at.
Last thing** Whoever the nice gal was that was working on Friday Jan 31st, she is great. Lots of help to me and she understood and listened to...
Read moreFantastic Stay at AmericInn by Wyndham Silver City! This was our second stay at AmericInn in Silver City, and once again, it exceeded our expectations! We brought our teenage daughters this time to explore the stunning Porcupine Mountains, and the experience was truly fantastic.
The hotel is beautifully located on Lake Superior, offering peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views. Our rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, making for a relaxing stay. The staff is incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful—special thanks to Johnna, who quickly resolved our daughters' WiFi issue by switching their room without hesitation.
From booking to check-out, everything was seamless. Breakfast was outstanding, offering a full spread from waffles and scrambled eggs to fresh fruit, breads, and yogurt. The pool was fantastic, with perfect water temperature, and the hot tub and sauna were much-appreciated perks after a long day of hiking.
We will absolutely continue to stay here whenever we visit. Thank you, AmericInn Silver City, for your outstanding hospitality!
Our recent stay at the AmericInn by Wyndham Silver City was truly delightful! From the moment we arrived, Connie made our check-in process smooth and welcoming. The hotel itself was immaculate and tastefully updated, which added to our overall comfort.
We stayed in a King Room with a lakeside view, and it was absolutely lovely. The room was clean, cozy, and well-appointed, making it a perfect retreat. The amenities were another highlight—both the hot tub and pool were spotless, with the perfect temperatures to unwind and relax. The sauna was an unexpected bonus and a feature we thoroughly enjoyed.
Overall, we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant getaway. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Kudos to the team at AmericInn for a...
Read moreIt's my first time to stay with Wyndham hotels, I didn't expected too much as this place is very remote. The hotel at the first glance is a bit old and dark, and there's no signal around, but I soon realized that it is indeed extraordinary in many senses.
The most obvious advantage is its location is very near to the Porcupine Mountains, so I don’t have to spend hours in driving to the park. The restaurants inside provide savory, tender, juicy and decent-price dinner entrees with a soup and all-you-can-eat vegetable and fruits bar. They also have free breakfast like any other express hotels. And it has a pool (I didn't use it but it looks decent), and a beach. I saw families and couples were together enjoying the sunset and campfire. Crescent moon, stars, milky way, and fireflies share the tranquil night with little light pollution. Superior experience near the Lake Superior. If they have taps to wash off sticky wet sands on the beach before going back to the room, it would be better.
Inside the room, everything's neat, clean and quite. And you can also see the towel swans prepared by the staff on my bed! Only things one can have a few words are the coffee machine --- it looks dusty, seems nobody uses it for long time (Still, you can get some near the front desk). And no night light around, it was quite challenging to find the way to bathroom when all lamps are off.
Parking is not that easy as the parking lot is not that roomy considering people may take trolley. And the price is a slightly higher since my stay was at the weekend. Wild Porkies have many flying insects at summer, so it’s quite normal to see some outside the gate. But still, I’d like to highly recommend this place is you want a hassle-free and...
