Simple campground with multiple semi- wooded sites. Game room was closed. Broken basketball hoop. Indoor heated pool seems that pool is cool but actual room is heated which is uncomfortable to go into in an 80 degree Temps(outside). Would've been refreshing for kids to enjoy pool without sweating. There are two bathroom facilities (1-inside office; 1-across the way-newly updated-broken soap dispenser). Closest retail store is Dollar General approximately 8 miles. Otherwise, you would need to drive to Littleton 20 minutes one way. it's mostly convenience stores that don't have the essentials that are required if you forget something. Owners are friendly. Great finds was Twin Mountain Recreation pond down road is a great small beach area with platform for kids. It's on Lake road. Also, a few hiking trails found was Sugarloaf and Lower Ammonoosuc Falls. Others are moderate to expert hikes.

Beech Hill Campground in Twin Mountain NH is a great Campground if you are looking for a quiet and relaxed camping experience. There are not a lot of frills here but they do have an indoor pool and a small playground. Their camp store is stocked with the camping basics and not overly priced. The sites are well-spaced apart and have lots of trees. The roads are tight with only enough room for one vehicle at a time so it's best if everyone moved using one-way traffic rules, however, not everyone does. The prices are very reasonable and close to many great hiking trails. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed the mountain scenery, even if it was raining during part of the weekend. We will be back there again.

Here’s my take: if you put privacy, simplicity, peace and quiet above all else this place is for you. Nice level lots, tons of trees and very fair pricing. If you have little kids and are looking for activities for them, there’s better choices out there. Take your pick. Only reason for the 4 stars was because there wasn’t a ton for my 7 and 5 y/o to do (no activities when we were there, very outdated and in some cases broken PG, game room closed and by the sounds of it has been for some time) but what it lacked there, it more than made up for with the simplicity and serenity. We stayed in a 30 amp site with a 21’ TT. No issues at with the site.

Let me start off with we have been here before with tents and enjoyed it thoroughly about 5 years ago.

In short, there have been no repairs or improvements since last visit. The basketball court, horseshoe pits, and shuffleboard are near unusable. The staffing was lacking, hospitality was no where to be found, and any accommodation effort was non-existent. More details below.

Our experience this time was less than enthralling. The number one reason was the woman at the front desk, one of the owners. From the first interaction I felt like I was unwelcome and an inconvenience to her.

The first thing we received was a whole page of rules about what not to do. We were told one vehicle per site, and to park in the overflow parking. Just for context that is only 4 spaces for the whole campground and they charge an additional $12 just to park an additional vehicle. Our site was one of the worst full hookup sites I have been to. Only about 13' wide at the narrowest and very muddy. The tent sites were nothing but roots and mud. To be fair other full hookup sites were fine, we drew the short straw. Their "kiln-dried" firewood was sitting out in the rain and we were told no outside firewood, period. They have a strict no dogs with visitors policy, written in tiny red writing in the rulebook we received. So they turned away our visitors from over an hour away because of a dog that they didn't even care to ask the breed or for paperwork. While they did not check our two dogs or even ask for rabbies certificates when checking in, all the while other people's dogs were running loose. The indoor pool, while nice in bad weather and cool weather, was no warmer than the river across the road.

This leads into the worst part. The staffing and the woman at the front desk. We saw no one monitoring the campground for violations of the hundred rules. This woman was more than happy to take our money and preach that we had to follow the rules, but never once did anybody follow up to enforce the leashed dogs, two vehicles on a site, fires out at night, or take a look at site conditions before booking someone for that site after a large rainstorm. We had neighbors setting up in puddles and mud. This does nothing but promote dishonesty at check-in and alows a free for all beyond the front gate. When we inquired about some of our visitors staying the night we were told no tents could be added to the site, even after paying the associated fees for them to stay. We then looked at getting them their own site for the night. We were told that they were full for the weekend then proceeded to have more than half the sites available. So, why take our money in the first place?

If you do not enjoy being belittled, lectured and chastised about enjoying a camping weekend anytime you visit the office then you ought to do the smart thing and avoid this place like the plague, as it is sure to make any camping experience you have here the most miserable and uninviting experience of your life, second to none.

But if you can look past all of that, the location in the white mountains and privacy between sites offered...

Very nice campground. Our spot had some decent space and trees between adjacent campsites, plenty of room for our 25' trailer and vehicle. Fire pit was clean and ready for use. Only other facility we really used was the indoor pool, which was in good shape and looked kept up. No dedicated spot to walk dogs, but plenty of locations to take them, there are 2 fields on each end of the campground that worked pretty well. Some of the buildings looked kind if warn and old, but we really were not there for amenities. It has good proximity to many hiking trails and mountains, is quiet, and all the hookups worked well. Lot was level for most part, could have used a little more grass, but no biggie. My only complaint, an it is minor, was that the sewer hookup was kind of high, it could be taken down a few inches to facilitate better drainage. We will most likely make this our go to location for rv parks in the mountains as it was a hidden jem with a decent rate, close to mountains for hiking, quiet, and fairly spacious lots compared to other places these days. Highly recommend, especially if you have older or no kids and value location to white mountain activities over an RV park's secondary amenities (i.e. game rooms,...

My Family and I are Currently Renting a Cabin right now, The Staff at check in are Friendly, The Cabins are amazing Clean as well, plenty of shade in the camp sites, Free wifi at the Office, I can't say I don't know how clean their public bathrooms are.... but I do know their showers are Hot, The Pool is clean and well kept, I use to camp here as a kid and they have certainly cleaned the place up and made it better, these people are honest and won't try to rip you off....... yes you pay a 20$ security deposit for the gate key, you get your security deposit back when the key is returned to the office when you check out from the camp site, the Beds in the log cabins are uncomfortable but we can manage... I really can't see why anyone would give this place a bad review, only thing I could think off is its probably disgruntled Customers whom were rude and didn't follow or the rules and were kicked out without a refund, and know they feel the need to give a bad review in attempts to hurt the family buisness, This is a great Campsite Mount Washington isn't to far away same with old man of the mountain, the flume, story land, Clark's Trading post I Highly recommend...
