A Formal Tea at Noon, Watermelon Moon Farm. What a lovely day! $35 per person and worth it! Iced fruit tea and ice water were served on the large covered front porch with 4 different hors d'oeuvres. We were seated inside the house at a table for six, the four of us with a pair of lively girl friends, each wearing a fascinator headband. Other guests wore hats and fascinators too. We sipped 3 different flavors of hot tea, and enjoyed 3 different savories to start. Then, 4 assorted tea sandwiches were served for lunch. Finally, more hot tea was served with 4 different sweets for dessert. Everything was delicious! And the servers were pleasant and helpful. As a parting gift, each guest took home a tiny white ceramic bird, which also served as a place card holder. After our tea and meal, we browsed around the historic farm house boutique. I found a birthday gift for my Mom. It was such an relaxing afternoon! My 22 yo son was the only male guest at the tea. In total, I counted about 30 or 32 guests who attended "A Proper Tea" with us. My son and daughter took some photos as they meandered around the farm in guest areas. Farm had chickens, 3 farm dogs, 1 farm cat, and lots of singing birds, a bench swing, and other seating on the porch and grounds. Looking forward to our next tea at Watermelon Moon Farm. Thank...
Read moreThis was a very nice and slightly different tea. So many, 10 to be exact, scrumptious offerings before the three desserts. All of them slightly different from the rest, and not a single cucumber sandwich in the bunch. I love cucumber sandwiches but I did not even miss not having that type. The pimento cheese with apricot jam was a real wow moment for me. Sweet, salty...wow! The spiced peach & brie might have been a little better on a smaller piece of bread but that was the only complaint I heard from our table of 8. The pumpkin-ginger scone with a glaze was so tasty. The desserts were just ok. And the three types of teas that were served pretty much satisfied the entire room. There was an English Breakfast, a Jasmine & to my surprise, my favorite, Ginger Peach. This was very much worth every penny & I only wish I lived closer so that I could go to the next one, although I may fly in for...

Today it is a Bed and Breakfast, which also hosts special activities periodically. On a recent visit, Christmas decorations and arts and crafts were displayed in an open house for all to see. The atmosphere was wonderful, food was available and the items for sale were of the highest quality with reasonable prices. They also have a gift shop, if you want to purchase a beautiful gift for a friend or family member. They will also accommodate groups for a luncheon, if you contact them and make a reservation. It is the perfect spot if you want to show some real "Southern...
