This property is set in such beautiful scenery. It's a beautiful drive in from Moab along the Colorado River and is surrounded by castle-like peaks. So much better than staying in a city. We saw deer and wild turkeys regularly and chatted with the owners frequently, who were very nice people. The inn was fantastic. It is the first place I have ever stayed where I was greeted by the owners themselves as well as served breakfast by them. I also loved that the owners accommodated to go breakfasts for those going to the parks. The breakfasts were different each day and depended on what the owners were making that day (with a sign up sheet the day before) - so different than a Continental or self select breakfast. It was real fun to experience the breakfast with other friendly patrons. It is also the first place I have stayed where the beds were comfortable and I was able to sleep all night. We were in the Anasazi. I think the only issue we had was the tv would have worked out better if it was on a mount that could be pulled away from the wall and swiveled. With it on the table, we had to reposition it to watch it and to eat We weren't there for tv, but it was a nice wind down at the end of the day. The kitchen is small, but that was expected by us. We were able to cook all our meals as needed, but required some finesse due to the small space, limited burners (2). It was a very fun experience and we will...
Read moreWe found this B&B on the Web, because we wanted something in the Moab area, but not the busy tourist traps in the city area. This was a little challenging to find, but not impossible, 15 miles up the Colorado and turn right, we were within 2 blocks in a quiet rural valley, and we pulled over, to navigate, and another SUV with a super nice British couple pulled up, and said to follow them into Castle Valley Inn, we did, and had a few laughs, made friends. The owner ran up and met us, showed us the Freemont Room which had everything nicely appointed, was spacious, clean, well stocked kitchen equip, and a perfect balcony deck with new chairs table and a gas grill. There were even fresh baked cookies in the main community house, where books, videos, and breakfast was made just for you, on a signup basis, 7, 8, or 9 clock. We chose 9, we met other guest, had a delicious breakfast, not rushed, and started our day, exploring the Colorado River Canyon, doing some superb hikes, and drives. We used the hot-tub, and the provided robes, the view was great, many birds, friendly dog or two, and a black cat, some deer, some wild turkeys. The place had charm and beautiful flowering fruit trees, and many tasteful bushes and flowers on a couple of acres. We felt like family, welcome, and safe, and pampered, and we would definitely...
