Raw sewage seeped up from the shower drain and flooded the bathroom floors of the two rooms we rented. The smell was overpowering and the front desk did not answer my buzzing for help at 5:30 in the morning. The sewage tank next to our room apparently has needed draining for quite some time as a reviewer from the previous month had the same sewage problem. Bugs scurried over the unwashed, stained bed sheets. Owner refused any type of refund. The photos speak for themselves, but can't encompass the stench. I have stayed at dozens of hotels across the country and this is, hands down, the worst of the worst.

Rooms kinda run down when asked for a change of sheets the managers told the owner that we were dirty so they did not have to change the sheets. And on top of that the hot water had been out a week and the guy who fixes stuff kept saying it was fixed for the entire week. Just got hot water fixed today. I also had got scabies when I lived there had to go through several treatments

We drove in late while heading toward Shepherdsville, KY, unfortunately, we decided to stop in Cave City for the night. We decided to stay at Travel Inn. HUGE MISTAKE! For one thing, we were told we would have two queen size beds, but they were full size instead, with an air conditioner sticking out into half of one of the beds. The bed frames were made out of two by four boards. The soap had another hotel's name on them and the shampoo packet was old and dried up. The wall receptacles were covered up with the beds causing a FIRE HAZARD. The television didn't work properly. We couldn't connect to the internet, so, my husband tried to call the office, but they wouldn't answer the phone. He walked down there, and they didn't want to come to the office, but finally did come. While he was down there, he then noticed a sign that said they would not refund your money if you were not satisfied with the room. We still couldn't connect to the internet. He went back down there and they came to our room. The hotel manager couldn't get it to connect and said he would check with their internet provider to find out what the problem was and he would be right back. He NEVER came back. The beds were not comfortable and the sheets were not clean. The towels were dirty and there was NO HOT WATER! The next morning the COMMODE OVERFLOWED, my husband called to see if they would bring a mop and plunger, they said they couldn't come at that time. He told them we had to be able to get into the restroom to clean up so we could leave, so, he told him he would try to get over there. By this time, there was about an inch of water standing on the restroom floor. The guy that was running the motel came in our room and kept CUSSING about the situation with the commode. We were informed that he couldn't clean up the water because THEY DIDN'T HAVE A MOP. With a whole lot more cussing and ranting he said that WE WERE NOT SUPPOSED TO PUT TOILET PAPER IN THE COMMODE!!! He said they were planning to post signs in the rooms to instruct people not to put toilet paper in the commodes. I guess their absence of a mop would help to explain the filthiness of the floor. We asked what we could do about the floor in order that we could get ready, so, he threw some towels down on the floor. We asked about using the empty room next door, and he very RELUCTANTLY said that we could as long as we ONLY used the restroom over there. During all this time while he was CUSSING AND RANTING, he stood there letting the plunger drip on the carpet. The shower was so filthy that we were afraid to use it, but there was also no hot water. The whole bathroom was FILTHY. So, we weren't able to clean up properly before we went to visit with some family. Overall, this was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST MOTEL we have ever stayed at. You will be much better off, regardless of how tired you are, to just keep on driving past this motel to ANY OTHER PLACE even if it means sleeping...

We stayed here near the middle of January for 2 nights although we had paid for 1 week. $145 including pet fee. But you get what you pay for. And, when asked about a refund after only staying the two nights, and considering the reason we left, we were charged $50 per night for the 2 nights, we received a whopping $45 back. AFTER the room was inspected to make sure we didn't destroy any of the "Vintage" (as in old and falling apart) furnishings. The "Manager" and his wife a really nice people. The owners are very standoffish and just want their money. No frills, and if you rent by the week, no toilet paper, towels, or housekeeping either. Wi-Fi is sluggish when you can pick it up AND if it is turned on. Worst thing about the whole place, even though they tell you there are none, BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am severely allergic to them. No mattress protectors. That would cost money. If bugs are discovered they simply wrap the mattresses in plastic and seal them...

Stayed here for an extended period of time. Owners are extremely unfriendly and most of the rooms have issues with bed bugs, roaches, and other critters. Mold is an issue. It seems as though a majority of the long term tenants wish to be any where else, but get stuck there and the short term guests get out quickly. I recommend that you head up the road and pick another motel. It may be a bit more money, but the difference is worth spending to avoid roaches in your breakfast cereal and the bed bug parties your sleeping body would most likely be hosting. The only thing that I can think positively about is that the managers/maintenance couple are very nice and do try to make things better.

Cable 1 star, constantly in and out WiFi absolute 0, rarely works Laundry facilities 1star, washer ok, dryer works half...
