Made our reservation two days in advance. Called on the day of arrival to see what time we could check in and was told not until 4pm. Arrived at 4pm and room still wasn't ready. Had to wait an additional 15 minutes while housekeeping rushed to finish it. As soon as housekeeping left we entered the room (113). Everything seemed okay. Main room looked and smelled clean, however there were two sticky rings on the table where the previous occupants had set their drinking glasses or beverage containers and they had leaked juice or Kool-Aid or ??? Table had not been wiped down by housekeeping. After being in the room for about 15 minutes I needed to use the restroom. When I walked in I saw something on the floor between the toilet and tub. I looked closer and it was a dead frog!!! It had obviously been there for a little while as it it felt kind of stiff when I picked it up with tissue paper and flushed it down the toilet. As for the rest of the bathroom, the toilet seat was not fastened tightly and moved around. The shower head was only about as high as my nose and the tile around it was broken. The cold water faucet in the shower was not attached properly and felt like it was going to fall off.
The exterior of the property was dirty with lots of trash in the grassy areas. The whole place felt kind of sketchy. It seems like some of the upstairs units are rented out as apartments as there were families staying in them. There was a dog up there that constantly barked all three nights that we were there.
I will say that the beds were really comfortable and the refrigerator and microwave were clean. And the a/c unit worked good. Would I stay here again? Definitely not. It just felt run down, kind of ghetto and even a little unsafe. We only stayed here because it was the only affordable room left in the area when people were evacuating Florida due to...
Read moreWatch this place they don't care about the people who stay there . It's a choice motel I stayed over 1year received no points and when I called choice one owner made a threat and very rude told me because he didn't charge me tax and because I was monthly he don't give points then told me if he gets fined I would have to pay for it . Then when hurricane Helene hit Georgia and we lost power he got a generator for just there use in the mean time I have shots that needs refrigerated I lost 2000.00 in shots which my insurance company will not pay a second time. And not to mention that it's full of drugs and roaches. It was my wife who called to report power issues and Internet issues. So we ended up moving in with family . And when owner was told about shots he was like what you want me to due all cocky instead of offering to give me his name of insurance company name and number and watch about the washer and dryer and the store is very high also the one owner likes talking stuff out of garbage and selling...
Read moreWe stayed here as Rodeway Inns are part of the Choice Hotels loyalty program and we just needed a basic room on our drive South. The price was right BUT... this place seemed out of a scary thriller movie. No hotel lobby but convenience store check-in point. Room was clean but the double bolt lock was broken and no hair dryer. Only 2 bath towels and hand towel. When we pulled in, a pit bull was being walked through the parking lot. We could smell wafts of marijuana through the bathroom's exhaust fan. Needless to stay, we barricaded our door with the room's table and got out of there first break of dawn. I'm surprised Choice Hotels allows these standards for their group of hotels. Upon check-out, no thanks or inquiries on the stay from the clerk-- guess he knows...
