Read moreCute little cabin booked on Expedia. My cabin didn’t lock so I had to put a rock against it so no one would come in. The cabin was absolutely freezing at night and sweltering during the day. Absolutely no information on Expedia regarding this and someone who has a thyroid condition my body doesn’t regulate temperature as it should. If I had known, I wouldn’t have booked the cabin. There was also a random car that parked right next to my cabin and someone slept in the car… without a properly locked door, let just say I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping. I brought this information up to someone in the office when I checked out early and he argued with me with everything I brought up. I was not rude or anything I just let him know that it doesn’t say any of this information on Expedia and that it might be helpful to add. Everything I said this man argued with me to the point I finally had to say that I wasn’t trying to offend him, I was simply letting him know. Still charged me full price so I paid $170 for one, horrible night. Attitude could have changed everything. I work in customer service as a manager of a major financial institution, and honestly my opinion of this place was lowered because of the interaction I had with the man in the front office. You get what you pay for I guess. WOULDN’T...
Read moreWhile I can't speak to the motel, I was not a fan of the cabins there. Depending on your tastes, you might be able to call them rustic, but for me they just felt cramped and outdated.
They were either old enough or poorly built enough that the floors sloped rather drastically in two corners. The full-sized beds took up almost all of the floor space in the one room of the cabin. There was only about 3 feet of space between the side of the bed and the wall that held the sink and the entrances to the bathroom and shower. The front end of the bed did leave enough room to move and have a table, tv, and fridge, but the limited space on the side combined with the slanted floor threw me off. On both the outside and inside, the cabins just had an overall shoddy look to them (paint missing and the like).
The cabins and campground were clean, and the staff was friendly, but i simply couldn't get past the incredibly poor state of the cabins. A motel (likely even the one on this campground) would definitely be better accommodations for a simple overnight stay, and tent camping somewhere else would be a more enjoyable camping experience. The cabins just don't seem like they would be enjoyable at all to people seeking...
