Cedars Resort — Hotel in Central Lake Township

5/5 We highly recommend Cedars Resort!!! It’s even better than what you see online, which is the opposite of what you usually find. A beautiful lakefront property, charmingly rustic and cozy cabins with private decks and all the amenities you need, enough complimentary kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats for all to enjoy, provided by the friendliest and most helpful hosts, Chris and Jo Ellen. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets followed by a bonfire by the lake with wood and comfortable chairs provided by the hosts. We stayed at Cedars the first week of August this year. It was (I believe) my fifth time there but my first since the new owners took over. We were pleased with the changes the new owners made to the property, yet it remains a semi rustic resort with a LOT of accommodations. Each cabin has a great view of the lake, there are fire pits, & a lot of options for getting out on the water (paddle boards, kayaks, etc). The cabin was clean, the grounds were beautiful, and Mike & Kelly took excellent care of us! They even hid “treasures” for our grandkids who love pirates and treasure hunting. I used to live on Intermediate lake and my Brother and his wife used to like to go fishing there and would always stay at the Cedars Resort and they still do every summer. My place was too small and they were right across the lake from me, so it was VERY convenient. They have a German Shepherd and she loves it there too. I am now living back up state and am wanting to come stay for a week at this great place that is so peaceful and beautiful and GREAT fishing.
