I recently had the opportunity to organize and attend a Women's Retreat for 24 ladies of my church. From start to finish, a wonderful experience. I must have called or e-mailed Josh a ton of questions and changes to our schedule and he walked me though it all the way and even made a few changes when we arrived. A+ on first impressions. When we arrived (early) everything went like clock work. The staff was amazing and accommodating, friendly and helpful. A real testament to whomever leads them. Everything on our schedule was on time, well managed and "chaperoned" for our safety. My apologies for not being sure of his name, but the staff member who took us to the gun range deserves a medal! He held down a gun range with 18 ladies (only two of us had prior experience) and got us out unscathed. The cabins and the grounds were well maintained and clean. The activities were out of the world fun! Since we were there with a group of youth, we were worried that we would be lumped in, but not so. They set us up in the cafe for all our meals and put is up the lodge with adjoining cabins. Every effort was made to ensure we had the retreat we were hoping for. Even for our evening activity campfire, their staff stayed out there with us all evening and had a great supply of s'mores ingredients! They even started the campfire!!! All in all, BEAUTIFUL CAMPGROUND, AMAZING STAFF, QUALITY EXPERIENCE.My only negative comment - that amazing blackberry cobber should be served with every meal!!!!! Thank you Watermarks, this was my first time organizing a ladies retreat, and you helped make it easy and unforgettable. God bless you as you...
Β Β Β Read moreMy daughter has attended camp through her school for three years now. The facility is nice, camp like and out of the way from everyday life. The purpose of her camp has been focused on Team Building and in years past feel this was accomplished. She has enjoyed camp for the most part, surprising for a girl who is a natural homebody.
The speakers the camp provides are sound and the kids seem to enjoy. The food is nothing to write home about, but it is a challenge to provide for all likes and walks of life.
I love the team building activity on the obstacle course, depending on the time of year there are water activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. There are school lead activities and a shooting range. Most of which my daughter has personally enjoyed.
I will share I was disappointed in how the shooting range was managed. While I am not opposed to the students shooting, our daughter had never shot a gun prior to this event. The first lady who told her how to aim told her wrong, which could have caused serious injury to another party. The second man who caught it helped her and corrected her. I am however, not aware of any safety courses that the students had to do prior to going to the shooting range. I feel this should be mandatory,...
Β Β Β Read moreI was there this past weekend with my church and two other churches. I believe it was everyone's first time and I just have to say that everyone LOVED the time we spent there and all can't wait to return. The staff were AWESOME! The facilities were AWESOME! The food was AWESOME! I can't say enough good things about WaterMarks Camp, overall an incredible experience. Shout out to, and I'm sorry I forgot his name, but the gentleman that was leading the Gun Range. The kids LOVED that experience and wouldn't stop talking about it. To see the kids open up, not just at the range but to try new things all over the camp and help each other was a GREAT experience. Anyway, he did a GREAT job with so MANY kids not only at the range but I noticed he was engaged with many different kids throughout the weekend in different areas so kudos to all your staff for going above and beyond! Thank you for hosting a GREAT weekend and for providing such GREAT experiences and memories. What a blessing you and your staff are!
