Did not stay at B and B but we ate at steak house.
Very expensive for what you get and the feel of the restaurant. $160 for 2 meals and 2 beers and 2 appetizers. I called at 3:45 and was told no reservations. When we arrived at 6 pm was told needed reservations and was not very polite when they told us well ok we can fit you in, when I told them I had called at 3:45. They told everyone that came in without a reservation the same thing. I know this because our table was about 8 inches from the front door.
No table cloths-paper napkins (thin ones) wrapped around the flat wear. Table was not even set. Then even set the table at cafes.
Appetizers were frozen because the waitress told me she went and read the box in the freezer. They were just ok.
Salad was plate of lettuce with 1 slice of cucumber cut in half and 2 cherry tomatoes. 4 ready made croutons and about 8 strands of grated cheese with a little cup of ready made dressing. They were just ok.
Cajun chicken Alfred was a huge plate of over done noodles with ready made Alfred sauce. The chicken breast on top was well cooked but the seasoning was very very light served with a slice of frozen garlic bread.
New York strip was ordered medium rare and there was zero pink and no juice. More towards well done. Asparagus was beautiful but cooked to mush. The baked potato was cold it would not even melt the butter and came with a little cup of sour cream. No cheese-chives-bacon was available. I prefer my potato to be prepared on my plate when I get it and with all the yummy stuff on it.
The rolls were frozen served warmed but not even golden brown. Just white and the butter was ice cold.
Our waitress was very sweet but she brought 2 Togo boxes to our table when I had put the second bite of my chicken in my mouth. I kind of felt a little rushed. But she was really sweet and my husband tipped her well.
The lady working the front door did not seem to enjoy her job at all. Like I said I was sitting in the middle of the entry area so I saw and heard her great each customer.
I guess I expected to have some part of my meal to be homemade not ready made or frozen.
Meachems in Ash Flat is just as good as what we got tonight, and salads are great but no beer. About 40-50 for two.
Even the Artisean grill in Ash Flat makes the ranch dipping...

After the last communication that “said” they processed a refund but it hadn’t cleared the bank, no refund ever came through. I can only conclude it was not actually refunded by the business. Eventually I did get the difference back but it was only after waiting for my credit card company to resolve the dispute I filed which was resolved May 9, almost 3 months after my stay. — EDIT 2: Just taking the time to continue my edits until it’s resolved just because it really was a great experience and we loved our stay so I don’t want to leave a negative review. Just did receive a response to say they did submit the refund but it hasn’t cleared the bank yet. — EDIT: Everything below is still true. But I’m editing my review to 2 stars and adding here that my mom negotiated a price with Greg but we were charged twice the amount agreed. I thought it was just an honest mistake, but I spoke to him on the phone and he said he would fix it. The difference hasn’t been refunded to my card. I contacted them twice through their website contact form and once through their Facebook page but have not received any response. I’m now in the process of disputing the charge on my credit card. I’d like to think this is still an honest mistake and maybe my communications haven’t reached them, but I also wanted to clarify my review considering this difficulty. — We stumbled across this place by accident after a really bad road trip with 2 babies. Greg was so accommodating. One of our babies was carsick and they helped me get clothes and car seat laundered and cleaned up. They gave us a great room. The breakfast was the best breakfast we’ve had in a long time and the service was excellent. Our only regret is that the steakhouse wasn’t open for supper the one night we were there since it was a Tuesday but I’m sure their supper has to be wonderful. We didn’t know this place existed but now will be planning return trips and...
Read moreThis might be one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever incurred that being said I have been here in years past, and the food and service were great. This was a group of 10 of us on a Friday night and the restaurant was busy. It was taking 15 to 20 minutes just to get a drink out of the bar. The waitress didn’t provide waters for everybody initially but she was friendly. Just overwhelmed with being busy. We ordered the ribeye steak special at $38 which came with two sides and a salad. When the food started arriving, our medium, rare steaks were well done and looked like they had been pressed on the grill. The mashed potatoes were cold. The glazed carrots were absolutely ice cold that was on my plate the other two plates adjacent the food was again overcooked on the steaks and the side items were cold. We returned all these not asking for anything else. A couple other items came to some of the others in the group, those were returned as well and again the main complaint was ice cold food. The view off the back deck of this place is spectacular a great place to come with someone and the food in years past was great so I’m not sure if there are different cooks or what the situation was but the manager handled it as best she could we did had some choice words about how disappointing the food was so hopefully they take better measures with their kitchen, staff and the quality of food. They are serving so this place can come back and be what it was a couple years ago a very classy restaurant with...
