Cherokee Inn — Hotel in Cherokee

A friend and I were on dual sport motorcycles riding the Oklahoma Adventure Trail (A gravel and dirt route around the state of Oklahoma) and stayed here.||||The room was clean and bed comfortable. We questioned the woman checking us in about the rate she quoted because it was higher than the rate online. The woman checking us in made up an excuse and said the owner would not allow her to give us that rate. We were on motorcycles and didn't want to go any further so we took it. That evening I spoke to the owner and read the info from this website that they wrote. He did reimburse us the next morning. The food at the steakhouse was good, the atmosphere was nice and the owner was friendly the room at the inn is outdated and needs a very good scrubbing (magic eraser will work wonders on the tub), also the walls are paper thin because you can hear everything I do not recommend this place if you are a light sleeper. The front desk staff was very friendly, I think the rooms are over priced for what your getting (maybe offer breakfast for that price) also my room smelled of cigarette smoke and it was a non smoking room. I was woken up at 4 am by my neighbors and then again at 4:30 by what I can only assume was big foot above me learning how to square dance... It was average. Just that. I thought it was over priced based on the condition and lack of amenities. Paid $70/night for one king size bed. It has a wall unit for A/C. It has a fridge and microwave. I was shocked to find an almost empty bottle of whiskey, open can if coke, and water bottle in the fridge. They have satellite but one night it wasn't working b/c " they forgot to pay the bill". But that didn't get us a discount. It smelt clean but don't really know how much heart is put into thorough cleaning. I know the elder couple who owns it.
