DO NOT BOOK HERE! If I could give this place negative stars I would. Everything about this place was a nightmare! We had booked this room, stopping along our road trip for a place to sleep. When we arrived to the hotel, the barefoot manager came out, greeted us and then sent us to our room. Our walk to the room was filled with different construction items throughout the hallway, along with a moldy smell. When we get to the room, We open the door and the smell of mold intensified. I went to lay my bag on the bed, Looking down at the sheets, they were covered with stains right on the top. Multiple stains, unmissable stains. Pulled back the top sheet. There was hair in both beds along with more multiple stains. There was sticky, covered all over the phone and furniture. When I called to let them know about the room, he told me that he didn’t believe me and he needed to come see it for his own two eyes. After he aggressively walked in our room, looked at the mattress and the other things that I had pointed out told me “what do you want, a new sheet? Which I knew he meant I’d be changing myself. He use the words this is not my problem. I have no other rooms and good luck getting your money back.. He was laughing as he told me to take all the pictures that I want. This goes beyond having not 1 ounce of hospitality, but also what seems Like a scam. Have people check into the room then once they realize it’s horrid, not give them their money.

Comfortable clean room. All you have to do is to respect Yogi's rules. I was lucky to bring my own coffee & French press coffee maker & a mug with me. Bring your own plunger as there isn't any in each room. Bring your own rolls of toilet papers, soap & shampoo if out of the mini ones that includes in your room. Probably extra towels for shower, hand drying if you are staying for days. And bring your own paper towels, paper plates and plastic utensils in case. Bring your own swifter mop if you want to keep it clean. The hotel does not serve food. Each room comes with the Back Forty menu that you can order ahead and go pick it up across the street. Or there is McDonald's and BP gas station in a walking distance. As for the toilet paper I asked for it days after we stayed. Yogi gave me 2 used dirty toilet papers that looked like it had been dropped into a wet pee. It stinked up in the bathroom that smell like the park restrooms. We refused to use the dirty or get infections from them.

This was the absolute worst hotel experience I have EVER had. My wife and I drove from Nashville, TN to Michigan for my grandmothers funeral. After a 9 hour drive we quickly checked in, changed, and went to the funeral home. Upon arriving back to the hotel there was a man high on meth (as he told us) pleasuring himself in the parking lot. When we tried to enter the hotel we were greeted by a not so friendly dog and couldn't get in. We decided that this was an unsafe situation and didn't want to stay. When I told the owner we were leaving he said he would only refund us half of our money even though we hadn't been there but a few hours and minutes at the actual hotel. I am still fighting with them to get any sort of refund. In fact, they charged us twice! Absolutely ridiculous and horrendous customer service!

We booked this hotel because it was the most convenient along our route. Originally we booked using Priceline, but we made an error on the date. (Should have booked for THAT night and instead booked for two days later.). When we explained things to the owner, to his credit he was willing to cancel and refund, which he was not obliged to do. We decided just to book directly through him rather than use Priceline, since we were already there. But the price he gave us at the counter was about $25 more per night than we could have gotten online, so I think he fudges prices as he wishes. (My husband watched him nudge the nightly rate up by pennies until the total with tax was exactly $100.)

Considering we’d spent that much the previous night for a 2.5 star hotel, the side by side comparison was stark. This hotel was sad. The halls smelled bad - a mix of smoke and old. The tiny lobby was decorated in 1970’s garage sale style, complete with rainbow disco ball. Paint throughout the hotel was contractor high-gloss almond. The rooms have no decor, though ours did have one accent wall painted burgundy.

Gratefully, the room was quite clean, at least where it mattered. (I clean for a living and use a black light to check my own cleaning, so I use it when I go to a hotel, and this one passed my test.). Bathroom was well cleaned, bed was clean, furniture was clean.

And yet, I think just the old-ness of it made it hard to relax. The chair in our room had an old slip cover over it, not quite well-fitting. The paint, the lack of decor, the worn bathroom fixtures…all of it gave off a gas-station-bathroom vibe: it may be clean, but you can’t quite get comfortable there, and you still feel like you need to wash when you leave.

A few other specifics…. There had been ants in the bathroom. No biggie - happens everywhere. But I could tell that they’d been recently sprayed - there were dozens of them dead on the bathroom floor. One more reason to leave my socks on when walking in there - I didn’t know what he’d sprayed with. There was a refrigerator in the room, but it wasn’t plugged in or cold when we arrived, so we didn’t use it - it would have taken too long to cool down and our food was safer in the cooler. There was no microwave in the room. So when I wanted to reheat my breakfast (which I brought) or make my tea, I had to walk down to the lobby and use the one there (which was dirty and very slow). The water in the hotel was un-drinkable - hard and sulfur tasting. There was a small mini fridge in the lobby by the microwave and there were exactly two bottles of water in there (for guest use). I used one I. The evening and one in the morning, and he had no others to offer. There was no vending machine where I could purchase more, either. He did offer to fill my water bottle with water that he had purchased for his use - he had to take it into his apartment and fill it, which felt awkward to me. There was a coffee pot in the lobby as well. The spare pot of water was kept on the floor under the table that housed the coffee pot. I don’t drink coffee and didn’t partake, but it seemed odd and unsanitary that the spare pot would be kept on the floor (especially given the ant situation down the hall).

The bed was comfortable, the pillows overstuffed and stiff. There was only a sheet on the bed, but there was a comforter available nearby. The room was quiet for sleeping, despite the fact that some guests had pets (we heard a few small barks when we arrived and then again in the morning, but between those times all was quiet).

I really have mixed feelings about this place. If you’re traveling and need a place to lay your head, this works. But I think it was way over priced ($65 would have been appropriate), under-supplied (a vending machine or drinkable water, a microwave in the room), and just past its prime, giving it a creepy kind of feeling. The owner is nice enough, and he cleans the rooms well, but honestly we won’t...

When we first walked in to find our room the smell of chemicials was strong. This place looks like it has never been updated or cleaned. This is the worst place we have ever stayed! The room had a layer of dust on every thing! Dead and half dead flying ants all over the room! There were piles of sand by the walls. Looked like ant homes! The Jacuzzi tub was dirty and stained. I scraped stuff off with my nails! One plug cover was laying on the floor not even on the plug! The window did not even open! Hair in the shower not ours. When i let the man know he came and checked it out and said he would go get some chemicials and clean the bugs up. My husband and i had to go set up for a wedding so we left to ler them clean the room. When we got back about 5 hours later the room was in no better shape! It was late we were tired and i had preperations i had to do for the wedding the next day. so i cleaned the tub and swept the bugs aside so we could get our stuff done and get some sleep. Luckly the bed seemed to be in good shape. Before bed i filled the tub and jumped in. After a few min of being in thier i was sitting thier relaxing And i spotted a bug on top of my bubbles! It was dead! I was so disgusted! I got out took a shower and went to bed! The next day we were getting around and we got a call at 7 min to 11 letting us know check out was at 11 and to bring the key to the front desk. We had asked for a late check out at 12. My husband i felt rushed. We packed not even bothering to finish getting ready and packed the car. I went dropp the key off and talk to the manager about our room. I told him of the condiction and showed him pictures. He was full of excuses. He blamed the sand on the floor from the walls! Said he came to clean the bugs up but we never answered the door so he didnt finish cleaning them. He knew we left. We walked out right behind him after talking to him about where the location of the wedding was that we had to help set up! I told him i was not looking for a complete refund but thought half would only be fair! He had a ton of excuses! Refused any kind of refund. Worst service and worst place we ever clould ever stayed! We would of found a diff place but it was late we lived 2 hours away and we were tired and just wanted to sleep! They would have no stars if i could! When asked the last time our room was cleaned he said 3 to...

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Their customer service is some of the worst I've ever dealt with.

I booked a room for an overnight trip through Expedia for a family wedding. They advertise as pet friendly, which was perfect for me since I was bringing my pups along. I get to the hotel to check in & notify the front counter that I had 2 dogs with me, that I needed to pay the pet fee. Immediately I got attitude from the guy, talking down to me since I didn't "call ahead" to notify them that I had pets. No other motel I've stayed at required this from me, so I didn't think to do so. I apologize & continue to check in. I pay the $45 pet fee - which I believe was excess to what was advertised, but I don't remember. He informs me that only 4 of the rooms are "pet friendly," tells me that the room isn't quite ready & it would be ready in half an hour. It's 3:30 pm, so I found it odd that they didn't have a room ready. I leave and return 45 minutes later to my "room" which is covered floor to ceiling in FURNITURE: mattresses, couches, bed frames, etc. There's no where for me to WALK, let alone set up the crates for the dogs. It was being used as a storage unit. I had my boyfriend inquire as to what was going on while I stay with the dogs. He comes back with a couple employees and we're told we're being moved down the hall. We're then informed that this new room is NOT pet friendly, the dogs couldn't be left unattended and the dogs would have to go with us to the wedding we were attending. This wasn't going to work for us, so I'm livid. I state that the dogs would be crated while we were gone. Through the door I hear someone say something along the lines of "You better be in that room with those dogs or I'm taking them." YES. This guy threaten to DOGNAP MY PUPPIES! I left about 30 seconds after that.

Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place...
