VERY IMPORTANT INFO. These campgrounds were ok. There was a fire recently, so not much wildlife. The bathrooms were very well maintained with a light inside and fresh paint. NO SINK OR SHOWER. Campsites very close to each other. Water spout outside bathrooms. Get spot 50 if you can. It's closest to the lake. The camp host was nice. And I really liked the grills on the fire pit. I made Quesadilla's on mine.
NOW before going there or leaving your town, be absolutely sure to purchase everything you need for your trip before coming to this town. It has only a few stores that are a rip-off. The two gas stations didn't have prices on anything, so they could charge however they liked. Single cans of BEER were priced almost 5 dollars more than they should be. The town is not worth the visit. The lake was.

Camp host, Steve, noticed we had reserved one of the uneven spots and offered to transfer our reservation to a first come first serve spot that was still open and was much flatter. We took him up on that and we’re greatful that he offered that change to us.
He was very active around the camp in a positive way. Best camp host I have come in contact with in a long time.
The local restaurant, rental companies, and trails will keep anyone entertained.
The place I was afraid of not being nice is now the place I can’t wait to...
Read moreThere are several campground near and around the lake. No hook ups at most campsites. But most have clean facilities. Campgrounds do fill up fast during holiday weekends. Some have reservations, while most are 1st come 1st served. There are also several streams and small rivers in the are that allow camping in designated campgrounds. To my knowledge, all campgrounds have fees required on average of $18.00 per site with a maximum stay of 14 days. There is a 9 mile paved trail at the Southern portion of the lake for hiking, walking, and bike riding with beautiful views of the lake and two major mountains...
