I don’t normally write reviews but I got a little carried away reading others reviews about this place that I was no longer looking forward to it. We have our own RV and stayed a full|Week here. I can’t comment on the cabin but I did peak in the windows and they looked nice. The RV park is an old style campground. It really is as close to nature with full hook ups that you are ever going to get. Sites are completely covered in pines so great shade. Not so great for looking at the stars. Bathroom are clean with hot showers. They even had washers and dryers which came in useful when staying a week. There is a creek that runs up the side of the whole park. We are not fishers but did buy rods and tried to fish most days. We didn’t catch anything but I put that more down to our skill levels. There is no phone reception so do all your planning and research before you go. A lot of what we wanted to see in lassen was closed due to the snow that is still thick up the mountain. You can drive but a lot of the hikes are closed. A lot of the park is closed too due to the fires last year so that was a little disappointing. Burney falls is amazing so make sure you go there and they a cool|Lake to chill at after. Great for paddle boards if you have one or you can hire pedal boats and kayak’s. Close to the campsite there is a lava cave that is worth checking out just make sure you have flashlights. So all in all we had a great week at this park. I really would not do what I did and get sucked into all the negative reviews. Staff where lovely and there to help, no strict rules that people can not relax, no off road bikes either, in fact there is lots of signs saying that they are not allowed. Fellow campers where very friendly and respectful in regards to noice. I would...
Read moreHow FUNNY that someone else said just what I wanted to say. This was our 3rd year coming here. We were very disappointed with the construction happening we reserved our spot over a year ago It would have been nice to have a heads up that sleeping while staying here was not an option. I an half joking construction starts at 6 AM and goes on all day. I understand fixing the bridge is something Hat Creek Rv and RESORT has no control of... They should Really post something on the web site they had no problem posting about the loss of cable that's been up long enough it should be repaired by now. For the amount, we paid for our week-long vacation with no cable no wifi and the Construction. What a joke. I talked to "Bill" who said absolutely nothing it the way of an apology, he just responded I will tell the owners your concerns. We also brought my in-laws this year cause in the past we raved about the fishing and the quiet and cleanliness. they stayed in 2 different cabins because of booking problems. paid in total over $1000. also no cable or wifi ( one of the places had no TP.) the office Store closed at 5. The guys that drove around in the 4 wheeler were very kind and helpful with the setup and takedown of the stairs for the place we stayed Spot #1 with the deck. We arrived on the 7th and the garbage can was overflowing and not picked up the entire time we were there. I am not sure if there is new management or what but there are some changes happening, not for the best. we normally come up 4-5 times a year we bring the trailer or stay in the motel. We are now looking for a new...
Read moreWe just spent our Labor Day weekend at Hat Creek RV Resort. We stayed in one of their yurts #58. The yurt, the beddings are clean. The Porta Potty are all around the resort they don't smell, the garbage are always empty in the morning, the rest rooms are well maintained with good hot water and we'll provided with toilet paper and seat cover which I'm always particular when going camping. When you drive at night you are guided with their road lights. The staff are friendly and helpful. We are lucky we are with not loud visitors. I love to go by tent next time not too busy like the other camp site. The creek is just right there , you can do fishing all you want. The noise of the passing cars didn't bother us much at night, it's less cars. The only downside are the bees ! they won't leave as alone. We asked the help of their staff to keep out this friendly bees and immediately they attend to our request. By the way this are not the bees that sting you, just love to be their when eating time and disappear afterwards. There is JJ's Restaurant just 2 mIles away to free you from cooking, good food love their burger. Burney Falls and Mt. Lassen is a must to see . So far it's a positive stay for us and we recommend this place to families especially with kids coz it's a family oriented management and safe...
