I received a call from a staff member who told me that Corry had parked our travel trailer on the neighboring site instead of site 108 and he needed to move it.
I tried to explain to her that Corry is not there on vacation like most of her guests, he is working 45 minutes away, making it very difficult and costly to our company to stop work and come now. However, he would have no problem moving the trailer when he got back after work later that evening.
The staff member yelled over the phone that other guests have arrived and she had booked them into site 109, so we need to move immediately.
I asked her why no one said anything when Corry first parked the trailer during check in, or Thursday night when he was at the site, or Friday night when he was at the site? Why did no one call me Thursday or Friday to ask for us to move before there was a rush? He could have easily moved it then, not costing us any work time.
She again screamed into the phone that if he does not move it immediately she will have it towed and we will need to get it from impound.
I asked her if she could have the new guests take our site since it is right next door and Corry would move everything when he arrived later tonight?
She yelled at me again saying that was not an option, we were to move right now or be towed.
I explained again that Corry is 45 minutes away, so nothing can happen ‘right now’ and if she could just be reasonable about this mistake it would be really helpful for us.
She yelled, ‘move your trailer now!’ and hung up the phone.
Not only was she absolutely obnoxious with her demands, and provided the most abominable customer service I have ever experienced, she cost our company money. It took Corry 2.5 hours to drive over there in the middle of his work day, remove the trailer, and return to work. That cost us $875 in earnings. To make matters worse, when Corry did arrive at the site to move the trailer, the new guests were apologetic, saying they did not ask for him to move right away, just at some point that day, they were sorry he drove over there during his work shift.
Rather than continue inreceiving horrible customer service, Corry packed up the trailer and left the North Shore...

I absolutely fell in love with Northshore campgrounds as soon as we got there. Campgrounds were spacious, not alot of rocks in the ground, right on the beautiful lake, perfect weather, perfect sunsets and not alot of mosquitos. It has a convenient store on site and 10 min from town.
However, on day/night numer two we realized that it wasn't as great as we thought.
Now we are no stranger to camping, but the days in between servicing their port-a-pottys are way too long with the temperatures as high as they were. We were there 3 days and they finally decided to service them when were leaving (they were pretty ripe when we arrived) one a side note we eventually found out they had some restrooms, but you needed a code. My husband got the code from fellow campers. We go camping to get away from it all (especially unpleasant people) we made lots of new and fun friends during our stay, but the staff on the other hand were something else. My sister went to get some ice and she mentioned how they weren't too friendly. Next thing I know the manager of the campgrounds comes in on an ATV super aggressively and starts yelling for the person who rented the campsites. I approached her then she let's me know there was a complaint of my sister going over 25 mph. (Which is IMPOSSIBLE because of the short narrow roads in the capgrounds) then proceeds to tell us we would be kicked out if any one complained about us again. We apologized because of how upset and she got. Even though we weren't guilty of speeding. (Mind you we had 5 families camping ages 3 to 50 ish she said she would kick out everyone).
Aside from those horrible experiencesour stay was fun! Mind you bugs get bad but not mosquitos thankfully. All in all still had a great time but I couldn't believe the lack unprofessionality of the staff but also couldn't believe how beautiful it was. So I'm...
Read moreI've stayed at many places on this lake and this was my first time at this campground. We tent camped right on the lake. Pros- great view cons - the campground has made zero effort in clearing the brush so you can better see the lake. I also had family that had their motorhome in the campground; it was the most narrow site wedged between two of the main dirt roads. The part of this campground that was the worst for me was the showers are token showers (it's cheap enough to have a coin based shower but then to make it a token one? Awful.) We tried to use the token based showers... The machine that converts cash into tokens wouldn't take any of our cash. So we didn't take a shower but what I did see was one token gives you -2 minutes of shower time. There is a pin to use the bathroom and I definitely forgot it most of the time which was annoying. I know what you're thinking-the campground has nice security right? Well there is a security gate to get into the place so it's pretty gross that the people they're inconveniencing are the ones that are staying there. Lastly I reserved a space with my sister and we were anticipating originally that I would get there first. Plans changed and she ended up getting there before me ... Well we called and emailed and the first response was she couldn't check in if I wasn't there (same last name and it's a patch of dirt) then after revealing our circumstances they made it really clear they will never do this for us again but allowed it this one time. Not sure how many times other people hijack a tent site with the same last name but based on how resistant they seemed to want to help made it easy for me to never want to stay...
