I called in June and asked if there were camp sites available for this first weekend in August, the woman told me yes, so I paid to reserve. When we arrived this weekend, they directed us to some kind of weird over flow field and told us to park our camper somewhere near the others. There was no designated site available for us. We were literally right on top of the other campers set up there and were told another was pulling into a reserved spot behind us. When I told the man helping us that this is not what I had been expecting, he DID apologize and he DID help us find something we could work with, although it was a site being rented out by a seasonal camper who just happened to be gone for the week (but had left trash all over the site). The pool is a strange color of brown/green and seemed super unsanitary, it bothered me to let my kids swim in it. But hands down the worst part was the bathrooms! One tiny bathroom/shower house that was a long walk from our camp site and the walls of the shower were covered in mold! It was horrifying. Also, Saturday was a camp wide karaoke night. We returned to our camp site close to 1030 pm and it was so loud that my kids had trouble sleeping. I didn’t watch the time but I think it went on till 11pm. I’m all for karaoke but we were a good ways a way and I could literally hear every word over our loud AC unit. I would have gave no stars if it wasn’t for the man who helped us find another site we could work with, he was very nice and apologetic for the “mix up.” I’m not trying to be a complainer but I wish I would have read this review before reserving our “camp site” back in June!

I came across this place at random and was instantly smitten with the prospect of going! It is such a beautiful and peaceful place. We spent 4 days and 3 nights nestled in a little cabin named Creekside Cabin. Everything was furnished inside except for blankets, beach towels for the private hot tub, pillows and groceries. Satellite TV, fire ring, charcoal grill, picnic table, as well as an outdoor sofa, porch swing and adorable little wicker dining set. Not the best cell coverage in the area but the peaceful, serene surroundings make up for that! It is a wonderful place to just get away and reconnect with your spouse or spend time with family! They even made our lil fur babies feel right at home! We will for sure be going back for another visit in the near future!

First time in over 35+ years of camping we have left without even finishing set up. The site had fresh gravel that was not compacted at all. Each time I added blocking under wheels the blocking just kept sinking also. No way possible to level our unit. The swimming pool looked like an untreated pond covered in algae (photo attached) and yet people were still swimming in it. That pool should have closed for treatment!! Their website photo of pool also looks quite green, however the same photo on facebook looks bright blue??? The lady at checkin seemed confused and offered no information (written or verbal) about the campground at all. Very disappointing trip.

Booking was a breeze to stay here. With that being said, that is the only thing that was a breeze. NOONE available for any needs during the stay. Called during the "open" hours no answer, no return phone call. Went to the office during "open" hours to hear music playing inside but no answer when the door bell rang. Emailed, left messages during the stay and finally got an email response days later when all I needed was a WIFI password for guests so I could work. Booked for a month, stayed 2 weeks for work purposes would not recommend. Our original plan was to enjoy the remainder of the reservation for the rest of the month. Changed our mind on that. As far as facilities, well water hook up was a treat, lets have to drop down in a hole to get to the water spigot (that is FULL of water) in the cold. We had to use a plastic container to get water out to be able to reach the hookup because it leaked so bad. The person running the office Mia, less than helpful and rude. Yes I was not pleasant towards the end of the call when I was trying to identify the bogus charges / credits on my statement but because I checked out early the system is the cause of the numbers changing not the office. Then I was told that is the only way to do it so that the spot can be re-rented out again due to me leaving early. I get it we all need to make money, it is a business and I have no plans of returning for the rest of my stay so I am glad they can rent it out again. When trying to explain what I was seeing, I got really frustrated when I was continuously being talked over so I said don't waste your time redoing anything I am done and will take my losses. Moral of my story, huge lack of professionalism, rude, rude and any help at the campground needed from owners is non-existent during your stay. Oh and, I had to provide meter readings because they didn't know what that was either. Thankfully I am an honest person and gave them the info needed to be able to charge me for this, really I had the pictures because I didn't trust what would happen for these charges with leaving 2...

We camped for a week here as part of a large family group. My family was in our camper while most others were in cabins. Here are our thoughts:

Pros: Very quiet campground

Very affordable

Kayaks and rowboats are free to use on the little lake.

Beautiful setting

Big pool with lots of seating

A Haunted Woods trail in the woods was kind of fun to go through

Cabins were really nice

The bathroom building was clean, and had nice hot water

The paved roads were nice

Friendly staff

Reasonable golf cart rental rates

Wifi in cabins good

Cons: Not a walking campground - it's very hilly

Non seasonal trailer sites are in a field with zero shade!

Office had strange/unknown hours ( a sign with hours would have been helpful)

The pool area was nice, but the pool had some serious algae issues. It was very, very green to brown. It shows it green on the website, too, so it's not a new issue, perhaps?

Wifi at campfires almost none existent. Wifi at pool acceptable.

Cell phone coverage very limited at campsite and cabins.

Overall, not bad. It seems to be a nice place to be a seasonal camper. Great location with lots to do nearby and very scenic...
