Booked a cabin a few weeks ago. The night before our arrival, the property owner sends a message through Expedia telling me the cabin is no longer available.. he double booked it! No phone call, just that message. The NIGHT before. It's a good thing I happened to check the message or we would've drove 4 hours without a place to stay. I understand these things happen occasionally, but to just fire off a message like that with no care of the customer actually receives or acknowledges it, is something that can't be overlooked. It speaks volumes for how this business is run overall, so I would never recommend anyone book here. You will likely be very disappointed one way or another.
UPDATE: The owner responded to my Expedia review with a blatant lie, saying that he offered me an upgraded cabin. I called him shortly after I received his Expedia message. He absolutely did not offer anything and instead acted like it was no big deal that he double booked it. He only recommended that I check a different property. The next morning, he sent ANOTHER message through Expedia saying that he had a different cabin available. Again, no phone call. We obviously already booked something else. It was the day of now! This guy is a piece of work. Steer clear...

Bring all of your fishing gear because the serenity of the lake will keep you out there all day and night. The lodge has a plethora of books and board games as well as a pool table and air hockey, which our boys loved. The owners are extremely accommodating and laid back. 3rd stay: Aug 2019 Wonderful owners. Still very quiet. Dog friendly. Fully stocked kitchens (maybe a bit light on mixing bowls). Great fishing. We lucked out and had wonderful weather despite an original forcast of a week of rain. We had a wonderful week of sun, swimming, fishing, and campfires. I've never seen the dogs so tuckered out.
2nd stay: Aug 2018 This is our second stay at Grey Wolf Lodge. We're loving it just as much as our first time! Very relaxing, the cabins are comfy, and it's nice and quiet.
