My family stayed here for 2 nights at a tent site with water& electric hookups. The site was extremely small and on a hill, so we had no where to really put our tent with level ground, we figured it out though, and put it towards the front of the site, closer to the road than we would like. I was told we were put in a "quieter" area, but it was the very opposite considering we have 2 different very large groups that were our neighbors staying in the cabins across from our site. They were both loud, obnoxious, and disrespectful. It wasn't an issue during the day.. but once night came around it became a disturbance. There is suppose to be a quite time starting at 10pm I think, but the neighbors across from that consist of 15+ people, got louder and more obnoxious. We were trying to get our kids asleep, including a baby, and they continue to blare their music loudly and worse of all screamed and sang along for the whole grounds to hear. I'm all for a good time, but it was going on 11pm and the noise was just getting worse, and everyone around us, including ourselves had littles that needed rest. There was no patrol or koa staff checking in, or drive bys, otherwise this issue could've been prevented or resolved. They drove by numerous times the previous night, like every hour it seemed, but not the night of the issue unfortunately. An argument did spark between neighbors bc of the noise issue and screaming along to songs . Besides that- the pool, inflatables, wagon, and playground were awesome! The creek in the middle of the grounds is great for kids to trek through, and very clean. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and mostly maintained. There are golf cart rentals, so many campers rented them and drove recklessly, though some were driven by younger folks, we almost seen one cart get tipped over bc of the reckless driving. There was also 1-2 koa staff who drove a cart faster than 5mph, (which 5mph is required according to the signs,) so it made me uneasy walking w my kids with all of the driving and craziness that occured during our stay. It was definitely a interesting stay, my kids still had a good time though and that's what's important. Plenty to do here, staff...

This was our first stay at the campground. My initial impression was that everyone was very helpful on the phone when I called to make a reservation. The grounds are well-kept and the facilities are nice. We stayed in a camping cabin and it was very clean and perfect for our family of 4.

My disappointment came with the staff once we were on-sight. I was really surprised how unfriendly they were in-person. I thought it was great that they escorted us to our cabin, however when we requested to switch sites, the young worker was clearly annoyed.

There were several open sites near us and since we were camping with a larger group, we borrowed a table from an adjacent site just for dinner. A staffer glared at us as she drove by. Then a few minutes later, came back and snarkily asked where we got the 2nd table. We told her and assured her we would return it (which we did). Without even responding, she sped off in the golf cart. It certainly did not make any one in our party of 15 feel welcome.

Later in the evening we took the kids to the pool 30 minutes before it was to close at 8pm. At 10 minutes till 8 another young worker came down and said the pool was closing. We gave the kids a 5 minute warning (even though that would still be early), then a 2nd young employee came down and very rudely said, 'We are closing now'.

We weren't the only parents who were confused, as the sign very clearly stated 8pm as the close time. So we stopped by the office to check with the manager -- who was also another young teen. When asked if the pool usually closes before the posted closing time, we were very curtly told, "Yeah. We usually close 15 minutes before." We offered a suggestion that the sign should then say pool closes at 7:45pm. We also mentioned to the manager that the staff that came to the pool was pretty terse and not friendly and the manager responded with, "Well it's been a stressful day."

So while the facilities were nice and the grounds were very well kept the service and staff wasn't very friendly and many other campers felt the same way, as if we were annoying the staff by paying to be there.

We did enjoy our time as a family, though I'll have to thing before...

Just got back from a week long camping trip and we had the BEST time! This is the first time we have ever camped at this location and we were super impressed! Upon pulling into the campground we immediately noticed how nice the landscaping was and could tell that there was so much pride taken in the grounds. Our checkin was quick and efficient and the staff was super friendly and informative. The store was stocked with everything you would need and super clean. We have a camper and our spot was shaded with a peaceful creek running behind it and easy to back into and level. Our kids took no time to hop on their bikes and cruise the campground and there were so many family friendly things to offer.. (for reference, our kids are 1.5, 9, 10, & 14 years old and there was plenty of things to do for every one of their age groups) We hit the pool first, which was huge and had tons of chairs which was ideal with the super hot temperatures! We took advantage of the free games such as connect 4, ping pong, horseshoes, Gaga ball, a playground, and a basketball court. We then headed into the store to get them some of the bags of gems to do the gem mining (huge hit with our kids) and then grabbed some pizza and icecream at the shop that was conveniently located by the pool. In the days to follow we rented a golf cart and cruised the grounds and were in awe of how clean and beautiful everything was! Huge shoutout to Cody and Howard for answering all of our questions and informing us of everything the campground had to offer.. we rented the peddle carts and the kids had a blast and then they kayaked in the ponds that were super well maintained. By the time the weekend hit, the campground was full with the Air Show being that weekend, and they offered free s’mores and lemonade. The shower houses were the cleanest we had ever seen and we have visited loads of campgrounds before this. Every part of our trip was perfect and we will DEFINITELY be back! Highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a fun and...

We had the MOST fun a few weeks ago at the Dayton @Kampgrounds of America ! 🏕️ It was our first full family camping trip and it was awesome. 10/10 suggest this KOA. They had so many activities including fishing, gem mining, paddle boats, a playground, and so much more. We were there for Father’s Day so they had some extra fun happening including a free beer tasting! 🍻 They have themed weekends throughout the summer so be sure to check out the calendar when you book your trip.
