ANGELS OWN THIS PLACE! Our family vacationed in NW GA. My daughter and I wanted to take a one-night jaunt to Tallulah Falls before driving back to Florida. The inn normally requires a 2-night stay. We called the day we needed a place to stay and Carol allowed us to stay one night. She offered for us to check in early so we would have a place to leave our things.
Sadly, we got a flat tire on the way to the Falls on Saturday. By the time the car was towed, the auto repair shops had closed, so we would have to wait until Monday morning. So, Carol got her two nights out of us, after all!
She offered us some of the chicken she was grilling out on the deck that evening. She also offered to drive us to the Falls the following day, checked on us in the morning to offer breakfast (breakfast not typically included), and touched base throughout the day to make sure we didn't need anything (we had walked to nearby hiking trail).
Carol and her brother have been nothing but accommodating and kind. They have been very attentive without being intrusive. We are waiting to hear from the mechanic now and she popped her head out of the room, asking if we needed anything to drink.
Now for a bit about the property and our stay. We stayed in a motel room- the simplest on property. It was very clean, with everything in good working order. The decor is vintage. Bed was soft. For those who can't wake up without a cup of joe, there was a coffeepot. We also had a rocker, small fridge, and table with two chairs. The rooms have a Roku device and cable. The WiFi offers good reception.
The inn looks over tiger creek and includes several decks you can sit on while admiring them. There's an area to pull out a laptop to check emails or work while you hover over the waterfalls. There are a multitude of swings and rocking chairs to just hang out in and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
A short path takes you to the edge of the creek. There are sandy areas where you can take a dip. At the edge of the creek, they have more swinging benches and a fire pit area. At the front of the property there is a steep staircase that takes you down to a swimming hole; though it leads you to an observation deck, so we aren't sure how people get down there to swim.
I cannot think of one negative thing to say about this place, so I obviously highly...

"KUDDOS"... Mrs Shawn Hello everyone... Do me a favor, after you get to your room and get your things put up.Go outside and just listen ... Do you hear that peaceful river down the path? To me; that is the sound of all of your worries and fears washing away. This place is definitely a 10 out of 10 place to stay. My fiance and I had a great time. I suggest that you at least once walk down the path to the river. It is all lit up blue and looks like a fairytale. The rooms were cozy and it felt like home. On location (and many to choose from) they have some grills, Not only 'a grill'.. But, just on our top deck level there was not only 4 grills, but a pleathra of options. There was a flat-top griddle style grill, a smoker grill, a propane grill, and a standard charcoal grill of your choice. "THAT WAS JUST FOR OUR FEW ROOMS THAT DHARED OUR DECK".. All in pristine shape.. There wer games and on thecommunity deck to enjoy the evening. The games included Cornhole, giant connect four, and also giant Jenga. While staying here you can get almonds from the office and feed "Chippy" the momma squirrel. It was so much fun feeding her . She would just sit and wait over the room while we were there. She loved the raw almonds supplied by the office staff. There is multiple deck areas by each room and also a community communial grand deck where all the games are kept for everyone to share. Even there, there are more grills including propane gas fire top tables to keep you warm.. While in town we went into downtown Clayton. We stopped by "Main Street Chocolates". All of the desserts and chocolate made looked delicious. Our choice of take home was the Turtle Caramel Apples. Which were nothing short of a stellar 10! We definitely enjoyed our stay.. and will definitely will be back more then once.
Thank you so much and I hope someone reads this and tries the stay at The...
Read moreAll I can saw is WOW! Our family had the privilege of staying at the Cascades Inn in Tiger, GA. The drive from Florida was beautiful and very scenic. We loved the change in scenery going from flat land, to rolling hills, mountains and beautiful trees. ||It was very easy to find the location and that’s saying a lot as I’m TERRIBLE with directions! Upon exiting your car, you instantly feel peace as you hear the waterfalls cascading down rocks and breathe in fresh air. ||The parking is right next to the cabins which are easily accessible. Our family stayed Sunday - Saturday and we had plenty to do and still missed out on seeing some attractions. We have a large family of 7 and were easily entertained. ||Some days were spent at the Inn relaxing, floating in the creek with inner tubes, sunbathing on the rocks, or just sitting by the water sharing fun family stories. Many evenings were spent outside grilling, playing cards and outdoor games like corn hole and Jenga. It is relaxing not being in a very touristy area. There are a lot of fun outdoor activities (white water rafting, hiking, camping, lakes, mountain view’s) in the immediate area and a short drive to more popular locations like Helen or the Smokies. ||The housing was perfect, beds were comfortable, the shower water pressure was AMAZING, and rooms were very cool despite coming in the heat of summer. Most our time was spent outdoors enjoying the beauty of the property.||At night, everything is lit up with ambient lighting, even the waterfalls! No mosquitos were to be found which was a pleasant surprise. ||All in all this is a MUST see if you are looking for a great place to stay that’s peaceful, beautiful, close to town yet still in the hills. We can’t...
