We were looking for a reasonable priced place for a quick trip in our toy hauler. We had some long overdue maintenance work we needed to get done so we were not looking for anything fancy. This place was perfect. It is easy to get to from downtown Cle Elum and has a lot of spots to choose from. We came midweek so reserving a spot was no problem a couple of days out. The spots themselves range from open grass to nestled in the trees. Our spot was grass but next time we will try to get something in the trees. When we went to the office, the gal at the desk was super friendly and helpful. She gave us insider tips on the best spots to stay next time we come back. I am knocking off one star due to the constant freeway noise. The property butts up to I-90 so the noise never dies down. It's not really the campgrounds fault but it is something to be aware of if you are sensitive to noise while trying to sleep. I think the sites in the trees would be better but we were not there so I can't say for sure. Our site also took a bit of side to side leveling but that is part of camping. If the freeway noise doesn't bother you, it is a great, affordable, and close to town campground. We will definitely come again.

Lots of road noise if you are out in front camping. Staff very nice and helpful. Would have been better if they had opened all the port a potties in the camp ground area we where in. We had to keep asking to get a second one opened and by the time they did that the first one was full. We had a group of about 50 people so multiple bathrooms for 5 days was a necessity. They had 3 port a potties in our area / they all should have been opened. The mini golf area needs to have the weeds removed. It does not look like it is taken care of very well. It is a $1 donation for each kid to play which was nice. They have ice on site at $2 a bag which is cheaper than you can get it in town. The kids loved that they sold ice cream there. We rented the kitchen which made it nice for our trike-in. The kitchen was ok. We had to wash anything we wanted to use, utensils and such where put away with food, grease and such on them from the previous renters.

Really nice and helpful folks working here. They have gone above and beyond to make our stay great. You can get decent privacy and it’s a nice wooded piece of land with a lot of summer camp kind of kitsch. Seems as if all are welcome here, and it’s really the best prices around considering you get hookups and all. Garbage and dump station: $1.00 Plus, the office has some merch and snacks, as well as the best prices on ice and propane in town. Free hot showers and they have laundry. Mini golf, horseshoes, and a small playground. I love it here for all that it is, but note that you get noise from I90 and if you’re in the meadow you will see it, roads are unpaved, and things are tastefully unrefined. You will almost always be able to come in and find a spot without reservation, honor system applies pretty much everywhere. TL;DR: An unrefined gem with great prices, nice folks, available spots, hookups, seclusion, and extras.

We recently came back from a trip to Eagle Valley Campground. There's a great line from Hotel California that describes this place perfectly - "This could be heaven or this could be hell"

What might not be immediately apparently is that this campground is RIGHT next to interstate 90. Some of the spots are less than 100 feet from the cars and trucks whizzing past. If you check the map of the campground, the 42, 43 spots are the closest to the freeway. If you are planning on using a tent any spots from #35-52 are going to be very loud. (We started out in #48 and there was too much road noise to talk to each other without raising our voice). These same spots are very tightly packed in, and don't have a whole lot of shade - just some trees along the "back" of each spot and the rest is wide open. Effectively, there is no privacy. Spots 31-35 are marginal - they are fairly open, but not directly facing the freeway.

We didn't check out the far loop (sites 60+) but my wife told me they were wooded. They are still pretty close to the freeway so I expect they would be pretty loud but might offer more privacy.

We eventually made our way to the upper half of the campground, where we found our heaven. These spots (#9-26 or so) are great! Up in the pines with lots of shade and plenty of room. They are far enough from the freeway to be MUCH quieter and are very comfortable. Yes, there's still some background noise, but it is not bothersome. Many of these are tent-only sites, but a few are drive-through (16,17) and many others are good for backing in trailers or motor homes. We spent a very pleasant weekend up in this part of the campground.

The amenities at the campground were dated, but very clean and well maintained. Their mini-golf course was challenging, the playground was fun, our kids loved their ice cream and it was great to be able to buy ice right there at the campground. We also went into the Teen Center and played some ping-pong and pool. The camp was built in the 70's and feels like it, but not in a bad way. Most spots had water/power hookups, which was VERY nice.

We were there during a weekend where there were no special events. From their website and postings in the offices it looks like there are a number of special events over the course of the summer. I imagine the campground fills up pretty fast and might take on a very different "feel" when there's it's full of people looking to have a good time.

Several other reviews have commented on the staff. Come on folks, you're not at the Hilton. The lady working there was personable and very friendly. The gentleman who manned the front counter was a character - He certainly wasn't rude, but he had his own quirky personality. I thought he was a lot of fun, but I can see how others might take his personality wrong. People with real personalities like this make the place MORE interesting and fun, not less.

So, if you're looking for a place to park a self-contained and noise-insulated camper/rv for a quick sleep, the whole campground is probably fine. If you're looking for a quiet place to land for a relaxing weekend, this COULD be it - Just make sure you pick...

I recently had the pleasure of spending a weekend at Eagle Valley Campground, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! Nestled in the heart of nature, this campground offers a perfect blend of tranquility and outdoor adventure.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff, who made check-in a breeze. The campground is beautifully maintained, with spacious, clean sites that provide plenty of privacy. I particularly loved the well-kept restrooms and shower facilities, which were a welcome sight after a day full of hiking and exploring.

Eagle Valley’s scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Surrounded by towering trees and picturesque mountains, it’s a paradise for nature lovers. I enjoyed leisurely strolls along the nearby trails, where I was treated to stunning views and the soothing sounds of nature. The nearby river added to the charm, providing a perfect spot for fishing, swimming, or simply soaking up the sun.

One of the highlights of my stay was the sense of community at the campground. Families and fellow campers were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm environment that made me feel right at home. The organized activities, like campfire evenings and group hikes, were a fantastic way to connect with others and share stories.

Whether you’re an experienced camper or new to the outdoors, Eagle Valley Campground caters to everyone. With a mix of RV and tent sites, it’s ideal for any type of camping adventure. The surrounding area also offers plenty of recreational opportunities, from ATV trails to rock climbing, ensuring that there’s never a dull moment.

Overall, my stay at Eagle Valley Campground was nothing short of magical. I left feeling refreshed and inspired by the beauty of nature and the warmth of the community. I can’t wait to return and create more amazing memories. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to escape into the...

We stopped here as an over-nighter on our way towards Spokane. (Which we don't recommend Spokane at all. Save your time, visit anywhere else. Sad, dirty, dying place)

Back to this review! :)

Nice points: +Welcoming/friendly staff +Only $40ish for the night +Beautiful views from our spot +Wide open field (pup play time) +Small store on site +Surprisingly level (we were in site #9, which had I placed a bet on it being level, I'd have lost big time if I'd gone by looks and first impressions! But it ended up needing zero leveling. And for any one who's over-nighting, that's always a major plus. Maybe it was the way we pulled in, just right? Who knows.) +Large communal areas (game room and more) +Adequate restrooms (only peeked in, didn't use) +Sites of all kinds for all preferences (full sun, full shade, partial)

Not as nice points: -much further from the Interstate than an over-nighter really wants. (Even though this location "looks" close to I90, which it is once you're there, you're looking right at it, the drive there isn't an easy, quick on-off by any means.) -Can hear Interstate traffic (due to its close proximity) -Old school feel (which many will love, but having managed a highly trafficked campground ourselves for a while, sadly we know lack of funds/reinvesting when we see it) -Poor wifi, even though it was stated it was good.

I think that sums it up for us. We would maybe hit them up if we were in the area again, or maybe see what else is...
